In today's video I reveal my 2010 Honda Accord that I bought from Copart Auto Auction with very minor damage. This car caught my attention because it carries a clean title, has very minor damage and was a run and drive with 40,000 miles. The Honda Accord will be a fun winter car and has a low purchase price like most of Auto Auction Rebuilds cars.
I love going to Copart Salvage Auction and IAA Salvage Auction to buy wrecked cars for cheap. Salvage cars make great projects because you buy them for cheap and can easily flip it if you decide you want another car, Samcrac and auto auction rebuilds demonstrate this very well. Cheap project cars from copart and IAA always sell well and do great on youtube.
If you want to see more builds, including my 2017 Audi S5 please subscribe to make sure you don't miss it!

This build was inspired by Samcrac because he gets cars with very minor damage and always scores the best deals!

That's a great deal. I also got my 2010 Accord EX 5 spd manual from Copart, however it had a salvage title (rear ended). It has 130K miles but it was also a 1 owner vehicle with an extensive maintenance record, so I'm good with it. Wish it had a clean title but still overall a good deal to me ($2200 out the door + repairs). I was able to salvage the rear bumper with some JB weld, gauze sponges and applying bondo on the crack. I also had to replace the resonator (it bent) and a tailight. The car's been running great and is very comfy

@engineer_alv
@engineer_alv 4 жыл бұрын
@@JohnStax98 yes they do last a while if maintained properly. Since I only put about 8-10K miles @ year (I have another vehicle), I'm confident it will hold up well. The previous owner definitely took care of it: it had newish BFG tires with plenty of thread left and the oil looked new, the spark plugs and air filter looked good as well (I was prepared to replace all those but it really doesn't need anything yet), the clutch and shifter feel great (in typical Honda fashion).

How do you insure a salvage title vehicle? Is it only liability that can go on the car? Or is it different in every state?
@engineer_alv
@engineer_alv 4 жыл бұрын
@@TheStrawberry9936 once you refurbish the vehicle to operational condition, you can go to the DMV and request a Rebuilt title. In CA they require smog, brake/light inspections, I guess is mostly the same for other states. I only have liability insurance on this one and that's what most insurance companies will do for you. Since it's cheap transportation I don't mind getting liability only insurance, but I understand some people may not want to have that (I actually have full coverage on my truck but that one costs 6 times this car did, so it's a no brainer), in that case a rebuilt salvage vehicle is not for them.

I think someone traded that in for a newer one, because he didn’t want to waste money on fixing it, when someone did like a hit an run. (If they had only liability) So I guess they traded it in for like $600.00 and then the dealership has no choice to put it in the auction, which it’s clean title. Well this is a good deal! Awesome 👏

It needed motor mounts, transmission mounts, suspension, new tires, and basic maintenance. Then the interior needed detailing my center console needs a latch my trunk doesn't open so I have to leave a portion of the backseat out. I got a new quarter window because it was broken and still need to get my front window fixed because it rolls up to far I have it sealed rn though. So I still need a window regulator weather stripping and a trunk latch after that I want to get a tint job. And I'm into the car $6000+. The winning bid was $1,600 and walked out spending $2,600.

Mine is a 2008 sedan. It’s a reliable car. Mine has 118,000 miles on it but it’s still running strong. Pretty good on gas mileage. Aye just make sure you check if the recalls have been taken care of too. I heard there was a recall on the passenger side airbag. I think they can fix that for free at the Honda dealership. I got mine fixed for free.

Also, for some reason these Accords remind me of Kappa Delta. The first 8th gen Accord I ever rode in way back in 2011 was driven by a KD. I've also known another KD whose life was saved by another 8th gen Accord (crash wasn't her fault). December 8, 2019 12:13 am

you got a super great deal on that car good for you. I would like to do some auto auction rebuilds like what you just did nothing too heavy as far as repairs go. I'm actually looking for either a mazda3 06-2012 and I like Honda Accords saddens 2014-2017. Any tips on how I can get started with my first buy to rebuild?

Good deal if your keeping it. If the title isnt salvage then you maybe can sell it for maybe 5k or 6k cause of miles.
