Agreed the Challenger would make a great powertrain donor. The FJ as well is worth saving, they have a following.

Great video ,Randy. Like the Toyota fj . Seems like a good rebuild for you. Unrelated comment... I just bought a 2006 Cadillac Cts from a junkyard because your love for Caddilacs inspired me to do so. I never thought of myself owning a Cadillac but here we are. Needs some work ofcourse but has potential. Thank you for all you do.

I had a 1999 Mits Lancer Coupe turbo and the same issue. People trying too drag me all the time. Thing is it was a stick shift and I know how to drive without using the clutch. Which means I can shift quicker and at the right time than an automatic. I only needed the clutch for 1st gear. The car was a rocket even with a little 1.5 but also super light. Shame they stopped making them a couple years later.

I had a 2012 Challenger, loved it but gave it up when I passed five of them on the way to work V6, V8, mint, ratted out, etc. Switched to a more practical, cheaper to insure Charger for now. Saving up for another special car that’s a little more unique.

If I were lucky enough to run up on a Toyota like the one you included in this video, with a bunch of parts included, it would have to go home with me as a potential "beater truck" to supplement, or even replace, my trusty old '05 Chevy Z71 Colorado.
@allstylinone5122 Жыл бұрын
Correct The impact was on the corner, If it was a front end impact the sensors would have collapsed and there forth deploying the bags to protect the driver and passenger from forward motion. Beware, even a milliliter of amorality of amperage can cause the air bags to deploy also.

VW’s and Porsche’s don’t do well if you let them sit for any amount of time for some reason. My 09 Jetta was perfect when I bought my F-150. I unintentionally just let it sit for 4-6 months. When I moved I started it up to take to my new house all the dummy lights were on and there were no brakes. I decided to just tow it and deal with the brakes some other time. Put it in the garage and again unintentionally let it sit for another few months without touching it and when I finally did get around to trying to figure out the brakes and dummy lights, it wouldn’t start and the damndest thing, the wipers wouldn’t work anymore nor would the speakers. Radio came on, but no sound. At that point I pulled it out of the garage with my truck and posted it up on marketplace as free catalytic converters, but they had to take the whole car to get them. I always liked the FJ’s but unfortunately everyone keeps the price jacked up on them but very few ever off road them. They weren’t made to be pavement princess’s but here we are. Much like everyone who buys diesels but never scratches the bed or tows anything with them at all. Doesn’t make any sense.
