Thats a pre 1990 with no airbags. Looks like a formula too with that hood and spoiler. The 91 and 92's had a completely different front end.

I have a Dodge Dually just like that one except mine is black and automatic, we haul Quick Crete (14 pallets at the time) 50 bags per pallet and 80lbs per bag at 75 miles an hour down the interstate with no issues at all!

The big issue I’ve seen on the older Dodge trucks with the Cummins is injectors and turbo failures. The turbos seem to fail due to failure of the injectors flooding the motor with raw fuel taking out the turbos bearings my brother in law and the girls BF have both lost replaced injectors and turbos on 12 valve Cummins in 2001 and 2004 Dodge 3500 dually’s with over 200k on the the clock.

@@steve-ph9yg the only issue I have had with ours is cranking it after it has been sitting for some time, I really have to put some power behind it and sometimes have to use a little starter fluid and even a block heater to start it, after that and while it's being driven on a regular basis it starts and runs without any issue

I have a 2013 VW also. When the battery dies the gauge cluster lights up like a Christmas tree. Drive it about 20 feet and the lights will turn off. Mine is the V6 with the dsg transmission. It's been the best car I've ever owned. 160k miles on it.

DC electrons flow from negative to positive so when you have a diesel or a big block you should put your jumper pack negative on the block and your positive on the battery

I have a 15 Passat TDI, great car, great mileage. Blue Devil did not work for me, so I did it the right way and did the head gasket on my CRV. Now if I can just get the videos finished and published.

That 5.9 diesel dodge is suffering from two bad batteries I bet it would start just fine if both were replaced I’m talking from experience. With these trucks. It’s eather that or the cross over hot needs to be replaced. It sounded like it had healthy compression it takes a diesel to jump a dead diesel your jump pack might be good but that’s a nother thing I learned from owning a fleet of diesel a jump pack will work if the batteries are good cells but if thay have weak cells you’ll get the same symptoms you got their

I had that feeling when I found my 1999 f150 last year ... long story short... 12 quarts of oil and nutting on the stick !!!! wanted the truck so bad...went home and found the issue on KZbin ...rotted dipstick tube !!! Drained all the oil put back 6 quarts paid the man 1000 ... Absolutely love this truck !!! I see the guy in town all the time and he's still kicking himself for selling it to me :))...

The mechanical damage on the Passat is most likely either the lifters (or the compensators) or it might be the injectors since I can clearly hear either ticking or light knocking imo.

That firebird is not a 91. They had airbags that year. That's 89 or older. They used that wheel in 88-89 only I believe. Also that spoiler looks to be a 4th gen style for 3rd gens.

Randy, the moment I saw at Firebird V8, it was screaming 'Knight Rider' fan car to me! The bones are good for a replica build. Anyway, I'm wondering when you would start doing car rebuild specials for certain vehicles using mostly salvage yard parts again. Would love to see these types of videos once in a while again.

Randy maybe the reason why the title is rebuilt on the passat is due to the emissions scandal from years ago, probably couldn't sell it with a clean title because they wouldn't pass emissions???

Don’t give up on that dually diesel randy! My suburban was making the same noise the morning after off roading at night, sucked a tiny bit of water in. after about 10-20 mins it finally started.

Yes try both booster packs... I've got the 250 jump pack... after watching your videos I replaced my old jump pack with the same style as yours I just opted for the 250...little bit more juice for starting a diesel

I think the passat louder than usual because it's been DPF deleted. That down pipe looked aftermarket and you wouldn't smell diesel exhaust in that year. The removal of the emissions may be the "mechanical damage"

I’d buy that Firebird in a heartbeat because 1. I’ve always loved 3rd gen Trans Am/Firebirds and 2. I absolutely love the Black on it because I’m a Knight Rider fan, but then I’d put the bird decals on it when it’s painted.

Randy on that Passat if you look closely at the drivers side fender there’s supposed to be a pinstripe that goes all the way down the body but on that fender it doesn’t have a pin stripe I’m glad you didn’t put a bid on it

G'day Randy, that Passat is nice, but at $8,500 plus fees, it is close to retail value here in OZ. They may have a higher value in the US. An oil catch can is a needed accessory on the TDI engines as the intake manifold can fill up and block with carbon.

the ram it needs both jump packs the old cummins needs a lot of amps to fire up. take both next time to try it. if that don't work the battery's need to be clean. but give it a chance.

Those tunedport cars with the bubble hood are pretty rare these days and that one was decent but it had ttops so that means it 10000 percent has a 305 and not a 350

Somebody needs to save that poor Firebird. She needs alot of work, but with enough TLC, she can bring in some good money. New paint, she needs the original stock wing (that wing is from a 93-02 Trans Am), engine work, and of course, the interior. In the right condition, a third gen 350 Firebird can pull in $16-$17k

Should check out the Chrifix video on the head gasket "fix" he did a test on his dad's jag think over a year span and it went bad again after using I believe blue devil so did it work yeah got another year out of it with essentially deemed as a bandaid fix.
