I personally don’t hate electric cars like mad. I don’t hate them or take it personally. I just don’t like the company in specific because they got a lot of problems. And the reason why you probably got it for what you got it for is because of there reputation. They have gotten such a bad reputation that like Volkswagens they go for next to nothing due to the quality. Like somebody got a Model S Plaid worth 120k for 50k. That has to hurt for the original owner 😂. The only real problem your gonna deal with when it comes to those cars is finding somebody who knows how to fix it besides the dealer. Because they refuse to give the information out to the public for mechanics to use. Even though it’s a fact it’s just my opinion. I’m willing to share my opinion.

@@AutoAuctionRebuilds OMG lol - brought back memories tbh - when mine got delivered the guy reversed it off the trailer at a bad angle and the car fell off the ramp ! Scuffed the underside front bumper - Tesla were great and fixed it up! Apart from that the only issue I’ve had is one rear light fogging up - again Tesla fixed it by sending a tech to my home. There are plenty of people with bad stories - (human beings in our nature resist change!). It’s not witchcraft though, it’s technology and it’s simpler than any gas engine. Mine came with zero panel gap issues and I’ve had her 18 months. There’s no going back - especially when I consider the finances- fuel (electricity) bills a fraction, range is simply no problem, little or no servicing (maybe the odd pollen filter and brake fluid change). I just bought another 9th Gen Impala from Carvana back in August. My experience was thus: 1st, I absolutely love that I was able to peruse the cars and pick out exactly what I wanted FROM MY COUCH!! 2nd, I've never gotten approved for financing in 30 seconds before (and say it with me now: FROM MY COUCH!!) 3rd, they delivered it to my doorstep. Did I overpay? For sure. But the in-house financing terms more than made up for the higher no-haggle price. Now, there were some negatives, which as a person that works on his own cars, can easily overlook. The first thing that was weird was the delivery date got delayed by a week. After delivery, I noticed they didn't divulge every defect in the car (there was a trim screw cover missing, a couple screws by the gas cap missing, an aftermarket tail light that was ill-fitting.) It was all stuff I could live with, and actually enjoy repairing. If it were someone that was nit-picky, I could see sending the car back. They also claimed to do a "professional" detailing, but in actuality, they just flung compound everywhere (the jambs are full of compound slop.) The guy delivering the car was very apologetic and offered to have all of these issues addressed at a repair facility of their choosing (MAACO.) Again, I ended up doing this all myself 'cause I get enjoyment out of it, but I could see a non-enthusiast being pissed off about it. All in all, I rate it a positive experience, but to those who are seeking to go this route, there are plusses and minuses. In my case, not having to set one foot in a dealership and haggle on the price or sit in a finance office for 4 hours sealed it.
@AutoAuctionRebuilds3 жыл бұрын
Well said. This is my exact opinion as well. Skipping the dealership, the finance department, etc was so worth it.

Acceleration corresponds to battery charge, so when you tested with 94 miles left on the battery you weren't getting even close to peak acceleration. I hope you noticed a significant different once you charged up. My OCD was also having issues with the zoomed out and rotated visualization. LOL. The blue flashing also wanted you to apply torque to the steering wheel (essentially a warning to make sure you are paying attention - if you don't, autopilot eventually turns off). Regarding Autopilot: 1 flick down - Traffic aware cruise control 2 flicks down - TACC with auto-steer (auto steer highway only, city streets requires FSD and 3.0 hardware) 4 flicks down (with ap/auto-steer already engaged) - Rainbow Road You have autopilot, not enhanced autopilot. Automatic lane change requires enhanced autopilot or FSD. Stopping at stoplights requires FSD. Unfortunately I don't believe your vehicle can do this regardless, because it does not have the 3.0 hardware. Per the video you only have 2.5 (3.0 was introduced in 2019). Anyway, I love it. I traded in my 2021 Toyota GR Supra 3.0 Premium for a 2021 white on white M3P back in September.

Randy, you have enhanced autopilot, not full self drive, so two pulls on the stalk will turn on autopilot. It will keep your speed, and keep you in your lane, provided you keep your hands on the wheel. It will not stop at stop signs, change lanes, exit, or anything else without purchasing Full Self Drive, and it won't do that well unless you get lucky and get into the beta program.

The car will also be somewhat quicker if you drive it at a full state of charge, probably a second quicker through the quarter mile and a few tenths to sixty! You can turn off the “more cowbell” mode by using fart mode, it’s the only way. If you just want auto pilot without that you can push down on the stalk twice.

@@AutoAuctionRebuilds no problem! If you have other questions about the autopilot let me know, I am a fellow model 3 owner! I figured I'd clear a few things up for ya, so the reason it keeps playing that music is because you're pressing it four times. For just autopilot to engage, tap it twice. ( the reason it didn't work on the road near your house was because there were no lane lines. ) Also, you do need FSD ( full-self driving ) for it to stop at red lights / stop signs as well as for auto lane change.

I'm happy that you're happy. I would just be a lot more happy driving a slower car with a more visceral driving experience and a design that I have an emotional connection to. Say, for instance, a 1972 Cutlass with a cammed 455. 🥰 CHEERS! 🇱🇷
