@@spillinout I'm pretty sure nobody was in that car when it happened. An impact which can bend the pillar and tear up the roof like that is strong enough to make a person's head and upper body literally explode. So the car would pretty much look just like that "body parts" bio car (if not worse).

Exactly what I was thinking, he could rebuild that Raptor even if he started with 3 oil stains and a vin tag, that's about all that's left of the original Hellcat L.O.L. Guys have been doing that with rare model cars, trucks, bikes and antique tractors for years with all the used parts that are around if you have a budget and hunt long and far enough . I've had hard to find parts shipped from Australia to Canada for a tractor, I sent him parts for a Cummins swap into a 3500 GMC truck to help him out in return he couldn't get easily there.

I had a friend with one of those Buicks with the pearl white paint. Several hundred dollars extra He smacked a deer one night and wiped out the whole front clip. The body shop paintrd the front clip five times , neve could match it Front clip was several shades different.

*That black 2014 Ford Edge could be a great rebuild project if you can get it cheap enough!* Yeah, it takes some time, energy and effort to make it a solid car again. But if you take the risk (because it doesn't start it should be going cheap) and the engine turns out ok that you are gonna make a decent profit! There are lots of people out there that are looking for an affordable, somewhat young car and SUV's/big hatchbacks are popular man. I think you have to step up the game and buy a young car (max 5 years old), fix it up, and sell it for decent profit!

Randy, I like the white Ford Edge. The sunroof shade looks like a super easy fix(just re-stretch the fabric), or I was thinking just remove the sunshade all together. I guess though if someone doesn't want the sun shining in it would be best to keep it in.

From the damage on the silver dodge ram I would say it went under something. There is no damage to the truck box for a rollover. The impact to the cab roof indicates it took an impact from the front driverside . The very front looks like it hit something on both outside corners during to damage on the corners. I would say it was an oversized load. The foot hanging from the mirror looks to be a cats foot.

That was a Ford Raptor. The heat can weaken springs and cause them to settle. the wheels, front bumper bed fender flares and the hood and front fenders are composite and burned up in the fire. All that white fluffy stuff on the engine is the hood. The copper in the glass is part of the Windshield Wiper De-Icer system.

Yes, it is a Raptor. Notice that the front end is gone..it was fiberglass. It was one hot fire! That is what all of that white stuff is Flatten all four tires, and it will get low. Years ago, in the early sixties, when I went "parts shopping" at my local friendly junk yard, and usually toured around, looking at many of the wrecks, and theorizing as to how the crash happened, as well as what it hit or hit it. A few years later, I had a job photographing auto accidents Documenting fatal and probable fatal accidents. I was required to show various angles, such as angle of impact, condition of occupants before removal when possible, and so on. You never get to like what you see, but you do learn to detach yourself and do the job. The "carnage" pictures, in my opinion are a good educational tool for young drivers and soon to be drivers, as well as those with a bad driving history, as a condition of regaining their license. And, there were a heck of a lot of bad wrecks in the late sixties and early seventies, when cars were not nearly as well engineered from a passenger standpoint as they are now. But it did help me earn some extra money, and help survivors on occasion. Just one old man's opinion.

On Tuesday I have an appointment to see my insurance adjuster because of hail damage on my 2006 mercury mountaineer premier from a storm we had last month. It's silver and you are right it's hard to see the hail damage. I'm thinking they will total it out and it's still not a bad looking suv and it's fully loaded with a touch screen nav system, rear entertainment system with DVD player, leather and much more. I'm wondering if I should ask them how much would it would cost to keep it or if it would be cheaper to let it go to the auction and buy it.
