Thanks, good to know after you got a long test drive. Were the seats comfortable? My last Camry was 2018 and it sucked. The the six cylinder engine was always stuck in the wrong gear and the seats were very short. I wound up selling it quickly. @@daviddaniel2198 You are probably looking at between 30k and 36k out the door (LE or SE), depending on which model you go with and the negotiation. (I talked to every dealer in my home state and some in the state next door.) I've been getting 43 mpg on average over the 1 week I've had the SE (both city and highway driving). A little disappointed it's not higher (advertised 47 mpg). Depends a lot on driving conditions and driving style I think (trying to adjust mine). I think 43 mpg is probably about right for the SE and the 47 mpg is under very ideal conditions and driving style.

@@Making_trade_workgreatagainyou don’t have to wait 45 minutes with a Tesla. Usually only 15 minutes tops. You don’t have to top off to 100. Some charging stops only require 5 minutes worth of charging, and it’s very friendly to your own bathroom schedules. Unlike ICE vehicles you can leave it at the pump while it’s “filling up” and do your business. Most charging stations have food and bathroom options, if not then you can plan accordingly. Can’t tell y’all HOW MUCH BETTER A TESLA REALLY IS. Alas, you’ll never know if you remain close minded. Or you could get behind the wheel, do some research or speak to a TESLA owner. We have a 2012 Camry hybrid made in Kentucky; it averages about 45 mpg, and has been trouble-free. Our daughter is a little taller than we are, and drives a Honda Fit (made in Japan); she noticed that the headroom is a little limited in our Camry [translation: she bumps her head]. Great thing about the hybrid: when using the cruise control, it works going downhill just as well as on the level or going uphill. Our old standard Camry tended to run away going downhill with cruise control. Tires don't last quite as long in hybrids. Our Camry hybrid came with some electronic geegaws we have never used, like satellite radio and navigation. Glad to hear the seats in the new one are comfortable; our 2012 model's seats are less comfortable than in our previous standard Camrys. [Full disclosure: I drive my cars into the ground.]

The transmission has two electric motors. They both can be used as generators and motors. The larger of the two is the main propulsion motor. There is no traction belt in this transmission. The engine is only connected to the drive axle under certain conditions. Most of the time the electric motor is running the show. The engine runs the smaller motor generator, which generates electricity to charge the battery. This is not a complicated system. It has less than half the components of a standard automatic transmission. Very simple and very durable. I recommend them Harley if you like Toyotas.

I’m debating between this, civic hybrid hatch, and a Mazda 3 hatch. Feel free to leave a comment with your recommendation. Civic is around 29k and Mazda is 26k obviously not hybrid. I’m a realtor in Ohio so I’m in the city highway and burbs a lot. Thanks

Been leaning towards a Mazda 3 as a possible next vehicle.....The Civic has had a lot of recent problems.

@@etacarinae5558 my brother and dad have a crv hybrid I’d think the hybrid hatch civic would be better than the ice civic. I don’t like cvt but have heard good things about the Honda and Toyota ECVT.

I have a 2011 Camry le, with less than 190,000 miles. She’s still running strong, and as tempting as it is to upgrade to a newer vehicle, I want to keep the car as long as possible. But if a great deal and opportunity comes along, a newer Camry is definitely gonna be one of my top choices! I’m a simple person, don’t really want super fancy stuff.. but my top choices would be either a Camry, a cx5, a HRV or CRV, a Civic or an accord

I bought a 2024 Camry Hybrid. It has two bent wheels, which makes the car get bumpy at high speeds. I took it to the dealership to try to get replacement under warranty. Dealership says there is nothing wrong. I clearly saw the bent wheels on balancing machine. When you buy a new Toyota, make sure to get the wheels tested before you buy. They won't even recognize the defect once they sell a new car. Toyota is a fraudulent company.
