Interesting argument. It does make sense that conscious processing occurs secondary to emotion and in turn gives rise to subjective experience of the felt emotion. Without consciousness we could not be aware of our internal states.

Is a feeling in a mind? I have feelings in my body. I did a philosophy course that proved that there was no such thing as a mind. What use is sadness or depression to evolution or survival.

Yeah, because most people don't want to put in the effort of actually understanding an academic discipline... Its dry because you lack any sort of knowledge about the topic
