Thanks for featuring these, Sandy! They remind me of the Archer & Olive Acrylograph markers-don’t know if you’ve ever used those. I like a good paint pen, and I can definitely see using the Essential Set to add detail to watercolor or other pieces. I do like the colors that are available, and that they are permanent when dry yet water soluble when wet. Lots of opportunity there. I would enjoy playing with these - would love to see a side-by-side comparison re: opacity with a brush tip paint pen. ❤

Thanks for sharing a closer look at these paint pens. These look very similar to the original tip on the Sharpie Extra Fine White Paint Pens before they switched the tips. I really fell in love with the white one for just adding a quick highlight and was bummed when the new ones didn't draw in a similar way. I do agree the shaking part is a pain, but I love the bright white for adding a little line so I'm happy to see they also sell them individually. I added a couple to my cart. ❤

Thanks Sandy! I am an Olo user, so after watching your results in both videos, I don't think they're for me, but sure Copic fans can find them helpful. So appreciate your many insights and observations and your incredible talents.❤

I’m sure they’d perform atop Olo in the same way 😁

Your pups are so adorable ❤ Love your honest and transparent demo…it’s nice to know what to expect when you’re adding supplies to your craft room. They seem like they would be really useful, I would love to see how they perform after having been o[en for a month. I never have luck after I’ve primed them the first time 😳

I'll update again later if I remember - they've done fine for 2 weeks now. I've had pens that died within days before.

Hi Sandy! I love your work! I think Acrea pens look like they would be a good addition to a crafter’s toolbox. I think I will check them out. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for demo-ing these pens. I had not heard of them. Good to see what they can do! I think I’d be interested in the essentials set, to start. It’s hard to find a white pen that’s opaque enough for highlites. Thanks again!

Thanks for the thorough review - it’s so helpful to see them in action in so many different applications. I think for now they aren’t for me, with the possible exception of the gold and silver. I think I can get the looks I want with the various mediums I already have. However, I always want a touch of the shiny on holiday cards. My trouble in the past is the paint pens dry out before I use them up. That may just be the nature of these pens and my infrequent use of them. I am always hopeful though. 😂

I love them Sandy!!. How fun it must be to now have items such as the stamps that you can use to add a little extra to your already finished masterpieces. How long did you formally study color theory Sandy?. ♥️

All my life! lol. I got a little in college, but I wasn't a painting major so didn't focus on it back then (and wish I had!)

Hi Sandy, thanks for testing these! Have you ever used Posca pens as a comparison? The penguin may have gone blobby and cracked because the layer of paint was too thick - it may take slightly longer to dry on the waxy surface of the pencils because the paper can’t soak up the moisture? Usually when my paint pens dry like that it’s because I’ve had a thicker blob of paint. Thanks again!

In the first of the two videos I had the poscas out ….the crusty blobs seem to be where the original lumpy snow had been painted.
