I feel best in the typical postcard proportion or square. But your "slime line" card and bookmarks have eye-catching proportions. I like them. I will look for the classes for that on your website. I liked as well your planning book. I could have a good use for it, too. Thank you for sharing. 💝

As soon as this video started, I was immediately reminded of the card layouts you shared during OWH. I still have them and use them for inspiration when I'm stuck. This is a great idea for sketching out designs. Since it is pricey, I think a small A2 size (or close) sketch book would work just as well. TFS

Thanks for sharing this. I'm all for people doing what works for them. I tend to be more organized with card-making info than most people are inclined to be. Descriptive filenames and online search capabilities make it easier to find what I've sent specific people or what I've done for the holidays easier than flipping through a book. I take a scan of finished cards and keep a folder for those I've sent and another for those not yet sent (I add recipient names to the filenames when I move them into the "sent cards" folder). I also keep a copy in my photos directory in the cloud, where I can add tags to I can search for specific subject matter or techniques, create folders for specific occasions, and have a backup in case my computer dies and backup drive fails. I have kept a sort of lab notebook, though I used mine for samples of disasters, with notes to remind myself of what doesn't work. I make notes into notes files of things I learn watching videos that are organized and easy to search. I also use KZbin libraries to go back and review helpful videos. I sometimes make sketches of layouts and/or notes of things to do, but I find it I don't do those right away they just pile up and I lose the energy around making them. I keep a few inspiration images on my phone to make them easy to consult in the studio (I don't have a computer in there), but if I don't get to them quickly, I delete them to reduce my cloud storage. I also keep a more extensive online inspiration file of screen shots and saved images as well as layout sketches should I ever get stuck, but I rarely consult it. I do occasionally look through and delete items that no longer strike me. (It's sort of a private version of Pinterest, I guess.)

I love this - such a great idea. I have always been a very, VERY big fan of your cards. Of all the "card people" on KZbin, yours are absolutely, without question, my favorites. No one can hold a candle to you, with regard to your designs. So, it goes without question that I was so excited when you showed some of your cards, in this particular video, that you had made. May I ask - is there going to be a video, or has there been a video that shows how you made these cards? Thank you!

Thank you for the huge compliment! No there’s no videos for these, although I might choose one to add into those courses mentioned, as a bonus lesson. I don’t usually give class content out here since it’s not fair to paying students ☺️
