There should be a bigger focus on machine learning instead of just pretained language models. On a small consumer scale, I'd say you could make a little robotic arm, with a machine learning to imitate and do tasks like cooking and cleaning or whatever, now that's a product some people might pay 1000 dollars on. Machine learning to do actual research, like deepminds math algorythm or protein prediction algorythm. Alphafold could have been already a billion dollar product, they have a monopoly on the ability to design proteins basically right now
@smittyvanjagermanjenson182Ай бұрын
@@ayoCC well machine learning is happening too, it's just a slower process. Just look at the humanoid robotics industry, where people have been manually training machines to do tasks, via AR headsets. The perfected LLMs are useful for talking to the robots when they arrive, but for now it's getting closer to full voice control for our smart devices and computers. I'm aware that "humans training robots" isn't as efficient as setting the Ai on a continuous loop to perfect a task, but at the same time I feel it will yield a better product. Example: "Hold the baby" On a loop could end up with more chances of hazards Vs A human training the gentleness required to hold a baby a properly. The process will take take time.

@@smittyvanjagermanjenson182 Humans also probably don't learn all the behavior just by figuring it out from scratch every time, so AI having more modes of learning is going to be really good. There is already a way, like how Xiaomi phones do "dangerous" permissions. Instead of simply allowing you to click like the default android, you have to wait 20 seconds on a scary screen that tells you about how dangerous it is and why. There's also a possibility to install apps in a separate space that doesn't have access to your regular files etc. There are countless ways to do app installing in a safe way, but this isn't about safety at all. It's just a way to slowly reduce the amount of "improper" apps that google doesn't like, like R*V**ced (you can't use its name on youtube)

For example, maybe you want to make an app an accessibility admin, but then you can tie it to disabling the internet for it completely and moving it to a separate virtualized storage. So that even if it will record your screens and private data and passwords and everything, it won't be able to send it

What was the point of making that part of the OS though? It didn't belong there. And now when they are fixing that glaring error, theyv are messing it up in the process. MS should leave it to third parties to build the software instead of hogging the stage. They've been sued and fined for this sort of this thing before... Personally, I want a dumb OS that does exactly what I tell it to do. Windows was that, many years ago. It went out of the window (pun not intended) after XP, and was hard to achieve even with XP. Android already has a framework around installing apps from unknown sources. It's called 'install from this source', you need to enable installing APKs from any appstore or the browser, if you downloaded it, specifically for each source. And that is all that's needed, putting another blocker inbetween isn't going to help people see the light if they install APKs from a shady source. I was a it skeptical what epic was doing when you mentioned that title, but I find this lawsuit absolutely correct.
