I am a list maker, but I love the idea of breaking it down in categories. I thought you would love this, Diane- last night I had my salt lamp on, diffuser going with Christmas oils and electric fireplace on in the bedroom. Hubby got home from work and went back to shower and change clothes. When he came out he said the bedroom look Hygge-Rific (terrific)! He said if if weren’t for you know I’d know nothing about Hygge or PUPA! I love making our home cozy for us-it matters!

I do go over on Insta, but my phone isn't great and to be honest, I love to see you and hear you each day, it feels like you are really with me here on YT. Table dec to be made today and we plan to make our first aebleskiver in a cake pop machine too! I shall chat with my sisters (DK) tomorrow (24th) and attend an open air crib service and that will have me in the mood for celebrating here (UK) on Friday! Right now, my energy & mobility levels are diminished while recovering from knee replacement surgery, so no deep cleaning for me until I'm fully recovered and dismissed from physical therapy. It is Christmas Eve morning as I write this in the U.S. southeast, and it is pouring outside! Still, it's been so nice to watch your last couple of videos with a hot cup of coffee, listening to the rain. We celebrate on Christmas Eve, ever since we are all adults. I no longer have big productions to pull off. We will just have a simple small , dinner with roast, sprouts, rolls and pecan pie. Tea and coffee. I have a few practical items for son that lives with us in a gift bag. We have a jigsaw puzzle going in front of the gas fire. I took the roast out of the freezer to thaw in the refrigerator. eggs and waffles forChristmas breakfast and leftovers for the day. Since we are in isolation, we have a very quiet year. Good Morning Diane from the overcast & cool temp Treasure Coast of Florida. Its early here but I took a moment to walk around our home and it looks so nice. I did it in small increments and from the front door with a bright wreath to holiday hand towels in the guest bathroom. Clean bedding today, lol, and a quck pass with the vacuum. Even the groceries are here. A huge first for us! You have brought many and especially Americans thru a rough year. Thank you seems so small. 🇺🇸🌴💓🎄. Merry Christmas.

This Saturday there was on the Slovenian TV one danish film about Christmas (I think the title is "Den tid på året", it was translated as "That time if the year"). I watched it with DH and we had some good laughs despite some dramatic scenes. Thanks for taking the time to show up for us. It is true. By the time that I'm writing this message is already past 10p.m.. Today I was feeling very overwhelmed, grumpy and lost, and didn't know why! Thanks to your video I actually realized: I had breakfast in the morning, but didn't it my lunch and was way behind with my water for the day 😣😣😣😣 self care can be so simple and basic. Oh Diane. It is amazing you come on when we most need you❤️. I too was feeling a bit overwhelmed today. I have 18 coming for lunch on Christmas Day and everyone is staying in our house for 3 days. I do feel bad complaining when you are all on lockdown and cannot be with your families this year so you are inspiring me to take a step back and be grateful for all that is to come. Hello :D Love your channel! I"m from New Brunswick on the Atlantic shores of Canada. I don"t know if it a question of provinces or ... wetter you"re french or english (I"m french by the way). But in NB, we generally celebrate on Christmas Eve . We go to mass in the evening and open the presents after. All the celebrating can finish very late too. Christmas day, we have family (often 10 people or more) over for turkey diner or supper and the eating and the talking lasts for hours, lol! Of course, it"ll be very different this year... but still a time to rejoice. I hope you and your loved ones have a Merry Christmas! Warm wishes from Canada!

Hi Diane from sunny AZ! December sure has flown by, hasn't it? You look beautiful today and I love that color green on you. Checking off our list for repainting the 3 bedrooms/closets and the den. and our carpet came in , was installed and it is so nice. Thank you for all your cheerfulness, encouragement and tips. Biggest change this year has been focusing on self care--- and the lockdowns have actually helped with that. This year was a dramatic change switching holiday decorating from chore to pampering by looking at it as a fun creative playtime and doing a little every day. This new mind shift also speaks to letting go of perfection (getting everything done before the fun can begin) and turning the process into the fun. I Happy Christmas 🎄🎅. Qwas full prepared by mid October with gifts, Advent, baking etc..but I am still working until tomorrow evening on 23rd.. I have a tension headache since 2 weeks due to work stress (working till midnight) ..but I will start preparing food tomorrow evening after work..I also could do with going shopping (I had it planned yesterday or today, but work got in the way) .. But I am to tired to bother with shopping stress.. . So will discuss with my kids and hope they will be OK with what I have in the fridge and freezer to make Christmas food! It's not optimal having to start prep tomorrow evening after I finish work because of headache and very shattered...but don't want even more stress on 24th and 25th. In Germany we celebrate 24th evening like in Denmark... So we will do German celebration on 24th.. And British Christmas dinner on zoom with UK family on the 25th. .. To be honest I am not looking forward to it all because I am exhausted from 15-17hr days the past few weeks.. Including this last weekend. I would rather stay in pj's, drink tea, eat a cheese sandwich, and watch Christmas movies, and no talking,... but I need to try and keep things "normal" for my kids... So prep and cooking stress it is🙁.

Take heed of my bloopers. First year my husband and I did the cooking. I wore a Christmas outfit that was to hot and not functional. I over heated! Festive and comfortable outfit. Laying it out now!First turkey I bought a 25 pound turkey breast! It almost didn’t fit in the oven. Know the correct size before shopping. Write it down for the next year.
