Next to Grainger, Copland is my favorite composer when arranged for Symphonic Wind Band. The President's Own does a masterful job performing this piece. They are the Best after all.

It is so military. Precise execution of notes, harmonies. Too precise it lost the feeling.

Both of you...your judgement is clouded by your preconception of a military band. This is one of the most sensitive wind bands on the planet. Among their ranks are doctorates from Juilliard, Eastman, NEC, U of MD, Illinois.....most of the finest music schools in the country. Do your research before you criticize, displaying your lack of knowledge.

@@LyleFrancisDelp My problem with the original comment is not that he feels this performance is inexpressive: that's his right to have that opinion, regardless of the stature of the performers. My problem is his characterization of music of the Baroque era as having no feeling!
