I scrap compressirs as well, you can save yourself a little effort by cutting a small hole in the bottom of the compressor to check the copper. I haye cutting them open to find an aluminum coil wire. So I cut a hole drain the oil, scrape the wire, copper I cut it open, aluminum I recycle as a whole. It cost time to cut them open to get aluminum wire so that little hole serves two things, drain the oil and test the wire. That is just how I do it.

the first and last compressor is called a reciprocating style compressor. they have a piston in them sort of like a car engine. The second compressor is a scroll compressor and those two "maze" pieces you pulled apart at the top is how it pumps by rotating and meshing the mazes together.

@ScrapDaddy3653 сағат бұрын
@@elizanslima622 @elizanslima622 28 min ago (edited) great video, congratulations.. a tip: cut below the welding spot on the scroll compressor, then all that heavy part comes out along with the rotor and only the coil is left at the bottom, then you make a vertical cut like you did, (just to loosen the coil) then just put a pipe (or any piece of thin material that can withstand the blow) inside and hit the ground and the coil falls. This saves disk space, I can open up to 20 rotary engines with a 7-inch disk, as I only make one circular cut. but now I open in plasma I open more than 40 engines with a single electrode, even more economical. edition: another very important thing for those who are starting out, NEVER REMOVE THE GRINDER'S PROTECTION, even the most experienced can break the disc by forcing it or simply the disc has a manufacturing defect, or the most common, the disc is made of low quality material.
