Copper Pennies Marinated Carrots circa 1975

Copper Pennies/Cold Marinated Carrots
slice, cook and cool 2 pounds of carrots.
Place in mixing bowl.
add:
1 chopped bell pepper
1 chopped onion
1 chopped stalk celery
in saucepan:
1 can condensed
tomato soup
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1/4 t pepper
1/2 t salt- optional
3/4 C vinegar
1 C white sugar
1/2 C cooking oil
1 t Worcestershire sauce
heat through until sugar is clear. Cool and pour over carrot mixture.
Chill at least one hour.
Keeps in glass container 7 days.

Hi there. This was my grandparents favorite thing that I used to make for them. I used to make them jars of it at a time. I said it only keeps 7 days but it really keeps about 2 weeks. It's such a good and easy thing to take to someone's house.

Here we go! Early ‘70’s recipe from beautiful Angela ‘hittin you between the eyes. POW! Mouthwatering copper pennies aka carrots surprise! Tomato soup, equal amounts of white vinegar and white sugar and a shot of Worcestershire sauce to give it that extra umph!
