Thanks! I love copper. Heavy and beautiful oxidation!

Thank you for showing us this unique collection. The beauty of the copper is that it will patina based on the the owner's use and results in something that is very personal. One thing I have not seen on the mass market is a flame treated copper pen. I have seen copper that is flamed and the colors you can achieve are amazing. I will gladly sign a petition for you to request Kaweco to make a Copper Sport! 😉

I think lots of people are hooping for a Kaweco Copper Sport. I know it will be a future thing for Kaweco. But the question is... how long will that tuture take to arrive? Flamed copper... never seen in pens. I've seen it in construction works and it can be gorgeous, I agree.

I really enjoy watching your videos! I wonder if you'd consider a video showcasing the unique patinas that your metal pens have acquired? I have a particular fondness for metal (especially heavy) pens, I think it'd be pretty cool to see.

Thank you for your kind words. I never thought of that. Youo think it is interesting to make a video arount the patinas of pens? I think I might be able to do that...

Many thanks for this wonderful exhibition and commentary on your excellent copper pens. I’ve always loved copper and steel. I only have the Montegrappa Copper Mule which I love dearly and use quite often. At that price, I know most people would normally demand a 14k nib. And it would be certainly quite perfect if the Mule had one. But I have to say the M steel nib on mine is just as good as gold. I really mean it. Montegrappa makes maybe the best steel nibs in the business - in my experience, so far. I’m waiting for the American Copper pen. Very excited about that one. Fantastic dimensions and appearance. You’re right about a Kaweco Copper Sport. My feelings exactly. I’d add that a Kaweco Supra Copper would be equally nice. The Parker Replica is superb in every way. The nicest copper finish among these four pens, with a price to match. 🙂

I always enjoy to read your long comments. Really do. About the finish on the Parker replica it is just the same as in the others. In the begining of the lockdown due to the pandemics I revoved the rotten sac and exchanged the nib for a F and I polished into mint condition. I don't know why this time it acquired that wonderful patina... I think it might have been the leather pouch in which I kept it while the pen was in use. The Schon DSGN is nice. But a Copper Sport is a dream pen. And a Supra would be a great addition also! I hope Kaweco dives into copper more than just in the Liliput.

OdE ...Oh, so kind of you to say that. I know I mostly write long comments. So much to say and share. And you’re so patient and gracious to reply to me and everybody else. 🙂 The look of the overall finish and the gorgeous patina on your beautiful copper Parker is truly a treat to see. Let’s pray every day for a Copper Sport and a Supra Copper, next year, hopefully. And I also a want a piston filling pen from Kaweco. I sometimes wish my Kaweco Elite was a piston filler with an ink window.

@@sajjadhusain4146 I try to reply. Sometimes I do it with delay and sometimes there may be one or other comment I miss. I guess Kaweco will make the Copper Sport sooner or later. And the piston filler Kaweco... 😀maybe it will not be an Elite but something else! 🤫
@sajjadhusain41464 жыл бұрын
OdE ...It is, of course, always entirely up to you which comment you choose to reply to and which you don’t. Not every comment necessarily needs a reply anyway. And as for timing, I think it’s often just practical to wait for a day or two to have as many comments come in and then read and reply as one wishes. I bet you and I will both rush to get the Copper Sport the moment we know it’s available. And I will happily take any new piston filling Kaweco pen in the future. I wish they made even just one such pen to please me. But I will still continue to love my Elite the way it is. It’s such a distinct and special kind of Kaweco pen among all the others I have seen and have. Though the Dia2 is my favourite among the full sized Kawecos.

@@sajjadhusain4146 For what I know they will make a couple of pens you will enjoy. I just do not know when... But when they are out there I'll rush into them as you said...

The pens are nice. I have been using copper pens for more than thirty years in India. These are made of copper, but lacquered. Both are made by local companies. ( Luxor and Flair) They have cartridge filling systems, since the metal may react with dye-based inks. I have five such pens and they are still in good, usable condition. But these local companies are now busy making pens for foreign brands- Luxor makes Parker pens in India, and Flair makes Pierre Cardin.
@OdE-ObjectosdeEscrita4 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your input. Are those lacquered pens made with coloured or transparent lacquer? They cover the copper colour or is the lacquer like a varnish that keeps copper in perfect shiny condition?
@nanjappa424 жыл бұрын
@@OdE-ObjectosdeEscrita My pens are brass- not copper. I am sorry for the mistake. It is coloured lacquer and is not like varnish. Over the years of use, the lacquer has worn off in three pens, exposing the brass barrel and cap in patches. I have scraped off the lacquer from one pen, and polished the brass barrel and cap. It is looking beautiful. I am sorry again for confusing copper and brass.
@OdE-ObjectosdeEscrita4 жыл бұрын
@@nanjappa42 No problem. Yes, many lacquered pens are made of brass. There is even one person on facebook that scrapes the lacquer of the Pilot Capless pens (they are made of brass) exposing the brass and then polishing and making engraving work. It is beautiful!
