Great job! I only own 40 clothing items, so I no longer do closet clean outs. I know exactly what I own & wear everything. When it no longer serves its purpose, an item is donated or repurposed and I find a suitable replacement.

Thanks Jess, feeling inspired I love a good sort out. I'm a bargain hunter so sometimes I buy things that are not 100% my style because they were cheap! I'm going to have to be more considered with what I buy/keep in the future. Isn't it funny how we buy stuff to go out in when we hardly go out at all or the holiday box is overflowing when we only manage one week away and can only take half of the stuff. Keep up your good work and lets hope we can all do the same and maybe create less waste in the long term. xx

Often sunlight causes those marks but as yours are kept in dark cupboard I reckon Sam might be right...could get some clear garment bags to put blazers in if you’re worried about water leaking? Xx

Stuff that you can’t sell or donate to charity can be given to Marks and Spencer, they recycle clothing that can’t be reworn so it doesn’t end up in landfill. Not sure how things are though given the shops have just re opened but usually they have a big cardboard bin by the tills.

Just know that, like with H&M, the materials that are hard/impossible to recycle will go to landfill anyway. Things like polyester, which is s component in a LOT of fast fashion can not be recycled or id very fifficult to recycle. If none of the bulk buyers, who buy it to break it down and sell it on to other products made from oil, are not in the market it will go to landfill or get burned anyway 🙄

Are you sure most of it ends up being recycled though? I mean I don’t know about M&S but I do know that some of the shops that have recycling bins don’t actually recycle most of want you put in there. Only about 5% I think would be my guess is actually recycled I think.. mixed materials can’t be recycled because they can’t easily separate them, and a lot of clothes these days a made with mixed materials. So these clothes recycling boxes in shops look good, but a lot of it ends up in landfill anyway, a lot of it being sold abroad and large percentages of it ending up in landfill over there. I watched a documentary on it, it was quite shocking actually.. xx

For me if it doesn't feel good when I am bloated then I don't want it. I always would rather have slightly looser clothes then clothes that get too tight and uncomfortable if I am on my period or just ate too much at lunch.

Get rid of maybes. Even if you end up missing them (you won't), you'll still have loads of things you KNOW you love. For your six month period, try using the hanger trick, where you start with all of your hangers hooks facing away and turn them around once you've worn the item of clothing. You can really easily see what you have and haven't worn.

It could also be for the sweat for your other garments since the are inclosed in a closet the have no place to breath and it transfers to other pieces

Zara has at the moment a bodysuit that it’s really similar with the one that didn’t fit you from and other stories 😊 I know because I bought one for me a couple of weeks ago 😉 The discoloured jacket looks like humidity (happens when you wash something and doesn’t dry properly and then you place the item on the cupboard). Washing should sort out well.

I've noticed that you do indeed have a lot of square neck tops and dresses. You identified that you think you shouldn't wear them because of your broad shoulders. I think that you look really cute in the v necks.
