So yes cops can run a dog on a traffic stop and if it alerts that does give them probable cause to search the vehicle. They CAN’T extend the traffic stop to get the dog on scene to do so. This is another good reason to have all of your documents organized in your car! If it takes you 10 minutes to find your paperwork that is 10 more minutes that they can wait for the dog!

So by virtue of the officers in case #2 being put on Administrative Duty which basically means they were being interviewed and evaluated by their friends and since they were semi-punished due to policy/rules, the Dept. circumvented the real LAWs that we all must follow. See, they use the policy/rules & any actions taken within their ranks are perceived by the public as punishment but in order to have them be accountable they must be Charged/Prosecuted, & Punished under the same laws as you -n- me are sentenced under.
