It’s heartbreaking to me that the images of Native Americans, the handsome Chef on the Cream of Wheat box, wonderful Aunt Jemima, the beautiful Native American princess on Land of Lakes, and the great Uncle Ben, and probably others have been removed from advertising due to the color of their skin. I ask you, how is this not racist? I noticed that the Nice looking man is still on the Quaker Oats box as well as the cute freckled kid on Farina box. These industries took the people of color off and left the others alone. Can we please get them all back and get back to some sanity. I didn’t necessarily set out to boycott these brands but I stopped buying those brands when they did that because I was so disgusted and disappointed. If you have a problem with someone’s creative artwork or character I’m sure there are real people out there that are actual chefs, grandmother’s, or uncles that would gladly allow you to pay them for the use of their image.
