The only thing I have to add if you listen to the audio when he hands the second officer his ID he turns and acknowledge to the officers to the rear that this is Tyrek Hill and then the third officer says who then proceeds to rip him out of the car and the initial officer who made the stops just steps aside.

I hope you’re not a police officer. There is no law stating you have to keep your window down after you give the officer your driver license n registration. This guy got suspended so many times. Got suspended for a month one time. I wonder what he did to get one month. I hear this officer safety excuse all the time. When you take the job you know it’s a dangerous job. Also if you don’t live in Miami you don’t know there’s friction between the cubans and the blacks. Me I would dig into this officer background from day one.

@@6Dimensions-vf8vh Need to take it back old school when people respected the police, when kids respected the police and didn't call them names and throw things at them. What happened in this Tyreek incident I see nothing wrong with it. This incident was like going back in time to old school days. I have added to this comment it is not this video, this is the video that the media wants you to see, it does not show from the beginning when Tyreek was being rude and disrespectful with that street thug attitude.

Rolling that window up was disrespectful how could you not come to that conclusion, it is because your new school. Did you know that when Tyreek was pulled over his window was down. The video I watched I do not know if it is this video because I'm just commenting. In the video you can see his window down while Tyreek is sitting there, you can see the window go up when the officer is approaching the car and right when he is at the window is when it goes fully up. Explain the reason for that, why did Tyreek do that, any normal thinking respectful person will know the answer to that. Let me here your's.

@@stevekirby5546 There is nothing illegal about being "disrespectful." The cop's job is to enforce the law, not teach manners. If his feelings get hurt he needs to find a different line of work. On the other hand, the rules and regulations the cop is trained to follow include being respectful. The first cop failed the respectful test and the second one blew it out of the water.

@@CoolBreeze-sn5gd It is just amazing how people think nowadays. I wish we had the ability to time travel, take people back in time to see how things were and the way they should still be today. The police officers did their job. The officer asked Tyreek a simple question and got an attitude right out the gate, asked him to get out of the car multiple times. The first time he was asked to exit the vehicle he should have got out just as fast as he runs. If an officer says jump you say how hi sir, very simple it's not rocket science.

Way to half step. This was a simple traffic stop. Tyreek gave his ID and information right off that bat. The cop had everything he needed to start writing the ticket. He gave Tyreek one second to roll his window back down before he ripped him out of the car, Then the cops took it to 100. 20 mins into this ordeal and they hadn't even started writing the ticket.

WRONG! The officer knocked on the window and Tyreek immediately said "Don't knock on my window like that". He had a bad attitude which did piss the officer off. He then asked Tyreek to roll the window all the way down, and Tyreek rolled it all the way up. They then told him to step out of the vehicle and Tyreek said, "Don't tell me what to do!" Tyreek is a thug and he was trying that "Thug Life" thing and these cops weren't having it and I don't blame them!

Apparently you don’t anything about the law. The officer has to have a serious particular reason for claiming safety concerns. There is no reason for the cop here to fear Tyreek . Always roll the window up . Otherwise cops can claim they smell pot or see something in the car. There is no law stating the window must be rolled down. Only that the cop get the id and insurance, which he had. Once again, asking someone to get out of the car needs a specific reason to do with the driver . General fear is not acceptable. Its scary police dont know the law.

Hey guys, I'm in 90% agreement. Not going to roast you. I've commented on a couple of your videos before. First off, he was resisting from the drop. This is passive resistance and as you know there is no bro convo, or debate here. There was so much traffic, it looked like they were narrowing the lanes so things needed to go quickly. I know I'm really in the minority (I'm retired but still in uniform in my 60's.) but I don't see the ofc. as overboard. I'm my day, we called that a no nonsense cop. I agree the optics looked bad but they didn't hurt him and these officers only have to answer to admin. I think Hill did way more damage by the things he said in the follow up interviews when he knew he was wrong and disrespectful. After learning of his history I was appalled that he said he wanted to be a LEO in the future. He will never become a cop, couldn't pass the psych test. Anyway, that is my take. Great show, guys.

Well no truly god-fearing morally upright person is going to either seek - or thrive - in this current iteration or culture of law enforcement, because the personhood, policies, procedures, and protocol do nothing but promote corruption and tyrannical behavior. So, if Tyreek falls in that category, then he'd be an IDEAL candidate - contrary to your opinion.

It’s not illegal to not be polite. Would it have been in his best interest? Absolutely. Officers Daniel Torres and Batista need to be held accountable and have examples made of them not simply utilize this as a way to retire early. The trained professionals who took oaths and have guns on their hips are the ones who need to be disciplined. Tyreek was held accountable for the law(s) he broke. There was a reason he did not go to jail and a reason the officer(s) were placed on administrative duty.

I have answered a few questions about this on Quora. I answer in the law enforcement category mostly. Most agree that Tyreek absolutely instigated it and escalated what could have been a simple citation to an arrest! He behaved like an entitled brat. Almost reminded me of sovereign citizens. Lol Then he had the audacity to ask if they could hurry it up because he had a practice to get to! When he was down, he claimed he had knee surgery, which he did have a procedure, but it was a simple injection of stem cells into his knee! He kind of looked ridiculous in retrospect saying that because since that procedure, he had no issues at practice or any of his games, all stayed by his coach. He even scored a touchdown and had some pretty notable stats for his performance on the field! If he were so worried about his knee, and getting to practice, then why on earth wouldn’t he have just complied? I don’t blame the officer for being exasperated by Tyreek’s actions at that point. That being said, at first I was not giving much fault, if any to the officer. The more I think about it, however, the officer could have tried a different tactic to reason with him before pulling him forcefully out of his vehicle. He could have said, for example, that if you don’t keep your window down, I’m going to insist that you step out of your vehicle! Then, had he still not complied, say if you don’t get out now, I will pull you out! There’s different levels of force, and some just aren’t appropriate for certain circumstances. I agree that he could have used his friends to his advantage to help deescalate the situation! Great analysis!

But being stupid is not a crime. He had 10 seconds from being told to get out till he was face down on the floor. That's unreasonable. That's excessive force. Especially forcing a cuffed person to sit down for no apparent reason. Again, *Hill was so stupid; childish* . The hosts of this podcast state that Mr. Hill shouldn't get special treatment because he is a celebrity. Ok.... I agree. By the same metric, how many cops get " courtesy" when in trouble? Examples: no hand cuffs, special acomidations in jail. In the case of Sean Gracon ex deputy who killed Ms. Sonia B. Nothing can justify the brutality. When they demanded him to step of the car, he was on the process of complying. This was not a felony stop and cops were not dealing with a criminal. Having an attitude is not unlawful, celebrity or not. The brutality was therefore totaly injustified from start to finish when they forced him to seat down. Who cops think they are? Kings? they should be held in much higher standards than the usual Joe because they have the guns and the authority while citizen don't even have the right to resist let alone to retaliate. Besides, cops are supposed to apply de escalation tactics. Here they only escalated what could've remained a simple traffic stop. Once the driver handed his papers, the cop only had to write the ticket without interacting with the driver until he came back to give him the ticket. No one is questioning the rightness of the stop. This video just exposed police ego, nothing more.

I agree Tyreek was rude and he felt like he was entitled. The officer should’ve controlled his temper. This is part of the job law enforcement signed up for. Everyone isn’t going to respect you. Give the ticket and let be. It’s that simple. That entitlement goes both ways, man. I'm so tired of some law enforcement feeling we owe them something. Don’t get me wrong, I am respectful toward law enforcement. I’ve been stopped where I let the officer know I’m concealed carrying-twelve o’clock. All of them say thank you for letting me know. Most of them don’t even temporarily take it. I’m just saying. That officer was more out of line.

Please stop using supposition and assumptions, when you don't have facts prior to body-cam footage. You DO NOT have any clue how fast he was going, or if he was driving reckless. Listen to the body cam footage carefully, within :30 seconds after the stop, the secondary officer told the other 2 officers "it's Tyreek Hill". This was a blatant racially motivated, and escalated issue by the 3rd officer. A bunch of officer's who are abusing and misusing their authority. Tyreek complied, handed over his driver's license, just not as fast as the 3rd officer liked. Tyreek could and should have done a better job complying and listening. Tyreek is not a "role model", again good cops deescalate, understand differential demeanor, use psychology... force induces more force, and piling on and that's exactly what happened in this situation. The body cam video makes a great training video for how, and how not to do things during a stop. Peace, you're doing a great job.

What a wonderful point you made right at the beginning. Hill is a role model!!!!! He should have held himself to a higher standard. Let’s be real , how many kids are going to come into direct contact with a professional athlete. Not very many. But hill should have been polite and respectful. But he never took an oath not to be a jerk .With that said. Police take an oath to protect these kids and uphold the law. They should be looking into the same camera knowing kids are going to be watching this. All kids will come into contact with law enforcement officers at some point. Do we want are kids seeing these officers losing their composure . They have seen it now!! Simple traffic stop , hill is a jerk . Being a jerk is not illegal.these cops know exactly who they are dealing with and are not in fear of their safety at all.lets be realistic !! But cop loses his mind and throws hill on the ground, cusses him and explains to hill , I’m God and you will obey me at all times. Is that the look that we want are children to see and think about when they see a cop . This is how that cop should have handled this situation. Drivers license please . Mr hill I’ll be right back . Cop writes tickets and runs for warrants. Goes back to hill and say . Mr Hill , if you could please try and slow down for the safety of your kids and citizens. These are your tickets, please drive safely and good luck on your game today. Your safety is are concern because we want you to win today and in the future. . But now we have kids that don’t understand law and egos and are now scared of cops . What a golden opportunity for law enforcement officers to shine !!! And it was blown completely away by a cop with an ego . Biggest public relations failure law enforcement officer would ever want . I’m a grown man and I thought it was disgusting for both ends. But when should a cop think a citizen knows he made a mistake and is going to have to give up part of his income and be happy about it. A cop should always expect an attitude from a citizen. We have this inter action rarely and are not comfortable with it. Cops have this experience over and over . I know it sucks for the officers but it’s part of the job.

The problem is that you think athletes are role models. They are not. You may have a few outliers, but for the most part, they can be self-centered. The police have a duty to be role models, though.
