"...is he wrong..." Donut goes out of his was to never, "Monday Morning Quarterback" the officers on the scene; he gives the officers the benefit of the doubt. When he sees apparent issues, he respectfully states procedure he is more comfortable. BUT if he sees absolute bullshit (illegal/ immoral), he will call them out. AS HE SHOULD.

Not only is doing this first one in the store a terrible idea, but am I the only one thinking 'don't turn your back on the person who was riding with this guy'? It is reasonable to think that the one in orange might also be armed and now that person is behind the first cop. It is definitely a clip that needs to be used for training what not to do!

As opposed to beating, crippling and killing innocent civilians who have committed no crime except refusing to respect their authori-tie and "not cooperating" when the citizens have no legal obligation to "cooperate" with illegal demands or orders. In fact, those citizens have the right to resist illegal (actually criminal if you don't understand) actions with any level of force required. Since cops carry multiple lethal and potentially lethal weapons, that level is quite high. One simple thing is to hold cops accountable to military standards (since they want to be so tacticool all the time), when you take a prisoner and secure them, any damage to that prisoner by the captors is a criminal act that they actually get prosecuted and convicted for. Two points: Law enforcement falls below the top 20 in dangerous jobs in all the data I've researched and below the top 25 in virtually all of the data. Given how these are figured, being a cop isn't that dangerous an occupation. "Just a few bad apples, don't blame all cops." Conveniently forgetting that the rest of the phrase "ruins the entire barrel, batch, bunch," as well as that if they were treated like everyone else, many of the "innocent" cops are acting as accessories and therefore guilty of the same crime.

@@stephanokidd4498 I don't appear to mention New York... As for the data I mentioned, trivially researchable on the Internet from official government and industry sources. As for the lack of accountability for cop crimes, that is so obvious it doesn't bear mentioning. Along with the corrupt coverups by unions, fellow officers, prosecutors and judges. Yes, there are military members serving time or have served time for treating enemy prisoners just how police treat US citizens as prisoners. The cops don't serve the time, so they do the crime.

First video Thats orange county sheriff office in orlando fl, most likely the tac( undercover) guys passed the info to marked units (uniformed deputies) with maybe little information. Ocso is 45% veterans or active guard or reserves number one agency in America for hiring vets, that sector they deal with people like that so much that it becomes routine the way they approach to try and deescalate, over they did good for the space they had. Orlando is a tourism area due to disney and universal which was like 15 min from that location so surrounding the 7-11 is not best or ideal, getting close to the suspect is. Last thing they needed was for the suspect to take hostages, not good for media in central Florida due to the high tourism in the area.

Playing devil's advocate on the first video. Let's say they try to take him outside, and he starts shooting. Now you have nameless bullets going everywhere, especially cuz it's an extended clip Glock most likely with a switch. It would be better to do it inside the store where at least the bullets can be mostly contained.

If it is okay with you, I going to look at this from a different perspective. IMHO, too many police departments do not have the training, money for training, or the time for it. Unless you have a specifically trained SWAT team. In most of these cases, you have whatever patrol officers who are available to respond to armed suspect/hostage situation. The chances of any patrol in any city to have officers trained to this level of situation will be rare. Hindsight is 20/20. Hopefully this department recognizes the need for more training, and not defunding the police.

Thanks for the information guys. With respect to the hostage incident, one question I had was whether there was info suggesting the hostages were in imminent peril necessitating them launching a hostage rescue. I know the suspect had previously fired shots but just wondering what their SOPs are for deciding to between calling SWAT and negotiators or having patrol attempt an unrehearsed and likely untrained hostage rescue.

13:54 - Awh, wee lamb, the word you’re looking for is, haphazard. Yes, it’s an actual word. Yes, I agree on all counts that there is no discipline here and the disorganization and everyone shouting instead of organizing and clearing the obstacles of the haphazard barricade makes me crazy. I actually played a bad guy in a SWAT competition, Urban Shield Project - and one year, our site scenario had some obstacles/barricade to test how the officers reacted to this type of scenario. Across the board, over the 14-16 teams we evaluated, almost every single one used clear, concise, short commands to clear the debris and each officer intrinsically knew that they should back up a few steps and create a clear path of travel for every officer stacked behind them. One team leader asked if the breacher could see any incendiary devices, the reply was quick and concise, “no incendiary devices in plain view, begin clearing debris?” Leader, “clear debris.” They handed it back and put it in the empty room behind the stack that they already cleared. This was what most of the teams did over our shift. The seemingly endless amount of shouting and each officer doing something different from the next was really frustrating to watch, knowing that the shooter was most likely NOT on the opposite side of that barricade. You don’t need 6 officers trying to get bead in that narrow space when there is another problem entirely that you have to defeat first, before any other action can be taken. It seems to just create more chaos and danger for the officers when one of the guys at the end of the stack is going to get a clear, clean shot opportunity from veritably the worst possible position. I’m not sure if the footage was cut down, but it seems like the senior officer didn’t address the bad guy immediately to instruct him to surrender peacefully before things get worse. I dunno, maybe that’s a silly observation. I’m glad all the officers and innocents got out of this situation safely, at the end of the situation.

All comments.......well I've got the clarity of hindsight. Incident 1 I don't know what the deal is with following the kid in. Either take him down immediately when close or don't. Dragging things on just doesn't work. Surround and call out I don't agree with at all. You are just giving this guy a chance to get better prepared and it's just as public as the 7-11 and they could now have rifles in the house instead of sidearm(s). I do agree that you wait until the suspects leave the 7-11 then take them into custody. Incident 2 I agree about the setup. It looks like those guys are just doing what their training dictates (which probably did not take this situation into account) which I think is hinge guy opens the door so the door knob side shield guy has the ability to immediately use his sidearm. The left with the AR needs to immediately be pulled from the line and go get more and better training. He's not only flagging the shield guy, but he has his finger on the trigger. Shield guy is 0.5 seconds from death. Also the high port vs low ready debate......I subscribe to the low ready because 1 you get better vision of what is going on and 2 you have less of a chance of deleting your team member if things go pear shaped.

I retired after 27 years of police work. I used to like watching Donut Operator’s videos, but I stopped watching them a few years ago. He started denigrating and insulting certain groups of society to the point that I thought he was embarrassing our profession. Most of my time was spent on night shift. If I didn’t show compassion, empathy or respect for drug addicts, prostitutes, and the homeless, I would have never solved a fraction of the cases or problems that I did. No-one would have talked to me. I probably would have ended up dead early in my career because no-one would have liked me or had any interest in seeing me go home alive - and I’m not talking about shift-mates, I mean people on the street. Finally, I can say in retirement and with age, I am glad that I never treated anyone with less respect than they deserved; I never considered myself better than anyone. Police work is not all sunshine and unicorns, but we get called to this job to make our communities better, not to tear one another down. I appreciate your channel! I have no doubt it fosters better policing at the very least, and will save lives at its best.

Nah, there isn't anything wrong with venting frustration concerning low lives, who only leech on civilization, not add to it. Bet you were one of those who made the victims shut up when they were yelling at their attackers, in the name of resolve. Because law enforcement officers are forced to be insulted, degraded, etc, the public doesn't have any respect for them. Body cams weren't put to protect cops, the public wanted them monitored. Today, if body cam off, cop must be hiding something, as if the thugs are the good guys, cops are the thugs. The fact of the matter is your fellow officers, who recognized the evil actions, used their disdain for strength to arrest those low lifes, and that brother is what got you safe to retire. Never forget that fact.

@@newhorizon1355 It didn’t matter. I didn’t have to sink to their level. But I bet I had less issues in the long run doing it my way rather than jacking them up. The city where I worked was infested with drugs, guns, gangs, etc. Too often we had to arrest people who had nothing in their life except their freedom and whatever self-respect they had left, and we were there to take away their freedom. I’m just saying going in with a bad attitude and judgment reeks of high school bully. I think Donut’s videos are great on tactics and he is funny, but he doesn’t need to disrespect entire populations. You might not police the same way, and that’s you. My way worked for me. Be safe.

Just gonna skip over the first cop continuing to fire into a guy that was already disarmed? Thats what the stink was about not them firing when he reached into his waistband. I'm not necessarily blaming him tunnel vision happens, but i definetely get why people where outraged when he is firing into the guy while his partner is holding dude's gun, that was pretty terrible communication.

Breaking down a break down video
@kamaeq
@kamaeq Ай бұрын
The first one: Trying to take him down in a store, setting up their own crossfire, failure to act more proactively by thinking with their magic wands, obvious cowardice on the part of the first cop. If these guys are vets, they are obviously not combat trained. Fortunately for them, their opponent wasn't either or you would have at least one dead cop. Unfortunately, the reaction would have been the same if they just thought they had seen a gun and the person was innocent of any crime. Note: there is no duty to comply to requests like "come here" or "you need to stop and talk to me". Second one: Pure evidence of cop tacticool vs. actual training which turns chaos into more orderly situation. Instincts are not bad, but they don't have the training or experience that makes this a charlie foxtrot. Again, fortunately for the cops, their suspect is just as incompetent. Of course, since it takes more training to be anything, like say a barber, than to be a cop, it is telling. Especially since a peace officer actually has a LOT of responsibility and duties to function as anything other than a thug secure in the protection of his "family". After all, so many police "misconduct" (criminal) actions only see any light of day if they are recorded and exposed. Then they investigate themselves and find them innocent of any wrongdoing.

A undercover from the gang task Force should have followed him in to monitor as not alert him and view the possibility of disposing of the firearm, non-spooking and endangering civilians...only after that ( when his outside with proper cover and less possible cross fire) then make their presence known with force. Its not rocket science.

idk what the intentions behind this video were, but it seems like yall are just chasing clout. i watched the whole thing and i dont see a reason why yall are breaking down donuts video, its like doing a reaction video of a reaction video. how about just stick to breaking down raw police videos. this really seemsed redundant and useless.

I’ve always thought it’d be neat for Donut and these guys to interact. I don’t understand this comment at all. “I don’t see a reason why y’all are breaking down Donut’s video.” Did you not listen to the first 30 seconds? Because they answer that question.

@@a.hinson9016also i have yet to find a single comment asking them to do a donut video breakdown. so idk how many people asked or maybe if they asked on patreon, but i stand by my statement and i honestly dont believe they had people asking for a video like this. still calling it clout chasing till someone proves me wrong. if im wrong im wrong, but im not so sure i am.

there have been more then few instances where they have tried to contact suspects outside the store but unless the officers block the door the suspect runs right back in too the store then its a hole lot more stressful
