Fun fact, many municipalities actually have statutes requiring officers to identify, but several of them also have a provision that if an officer fails to identify you are under zero obligation to believe he is a real officer. In my city if an officer doesn't identify then you can literally just walk away and our local court has decided that is fine. If the officer doesn't identify then there is no way to verify he is even an officer so therefore you are legally allowed to ignore their commands. Granted they will still arrest you for it but when they get hit with a lawsuit that stems from them not ID'ing then they'll definitely get a wake up call.

The no name tag thing is pretty common. Normally when departments don't issue name tags for uniforms the department policy is for them identify themselves and show credentials (police ID) if requested. I mean, there's alot of cops, like detectives/investigators , officers working on special task forces, and sometimes higher ups in the department like Captains and Chiefs, who don't wear uniforms at all, and dress in business or business casual attire, or just regular super casual civilian clothes. The no name tag thing is not that big of a deal. The way the officer just blatantly lied and completely disregarded this guy's rights, and did so in a retaliatory manner, makes this cop FAR MORE of danger to the community than not having a name tag.

NEVER COP A PLEA when you are right. Unfortunately no follow-up civil rights action because of the guilty plea. Now - ZERO accountability. Everyone out there in this situation should know that there are members of the public - just like those in this chat - that do understand the gamesmanship of the criminal justice system. You do have a shot at a not-guilty or a hung-jury verdict.

I find it intriguing that you say shut gov't down and start over because since jr high, you are the first person i have ever seen say those words. You don't have to wish, you only have to do. Your problem is that no one else agrees with you. The people who established the government were the same group of people who got rid of the king. The reason that's important to you is that they created the constitution so they could become your new king. If you want the people to be their own king, then the people will have to get rid of the government and then create their own constitution. The problem is that the people who do that will probably create a new constitution that makes them your new king. You have to find a group of people who want you to be your own king, and it's going to have to be a group big enough to get rid of the government. @Stacey Colangelo - There was a news-led account not so long ago where the police pulled over a black woman, an MP. She was a senior professional. The woman was a _passenger_ in an expensive car. Merely that the excuse. The police forces did not recognise her. Britain •••It was MP Dawn Butler, in August 2020, a passenger in a BMW car, the London police said “they entered the wrong registration plates”. •••The same police force stopped GB athlete and sprinter Bianca Williams. She and her husband were pulled from their car and handcuffed in front of their three-month-old son. They did not recognise her either. She is a black woman in her 20s. ___ Here in Britain, yesterday, an inquiry findings report released is very possibly leading to the entire disbanding of the London Met ‘police force’ (UK’s largest - over 43,000 for London area) and reconfigured to what was done in Ireland, it having becoming the now PSNI, Police Service of Northern Ireland. The RUC was ditched, the Royal Ulster Constabulary. London is on the verge of a literal and similar overhaul. Cardinally, racism and assault and odious indifference (internally and externally) is buck wild. 2 police officers have just been sentenced for multiple rape, kidnapping and murder charges (victim; young women). Couzens and Carrick. Both in their 40s. Both sentenced and jailed for life. Wayne Couzens (actively used his ID to facilitate crime, his nickname inside the Met police was “the rapist”) had an enhanced duty remit and warrant card to protect MPs and Embassy, High Commission, VIP and consulate staff. David Carrick, ‘elite Met police officer’, had a gun and his charges were over 2 decades. He has just received 36 life sentences. Repeated accounts of police officers and fire brigade workers taking pictures of found murdered young women whereby they took pictures with their cellphone and shared images saying “they found 2 dead birds”. Sharing this on their internal WhatsApp group. Beyond heinous and excusable. Utterly. Any resulting legal action and dismissal(s) cannot begin to address this mentality and disposition. They are the very opposite of right-minded while salaried and serving the ‘emergency services’. I agree with what you comment (and above posts) about it being petty and churlish to resist supplying a police ID number to those charged or not charged. There is a term in psychology noted as that of ‘permanent adolescent’. _‘I’m sure he has a badge number, and I’m sure he knows it by heart. I wonder why he didn’t provide it, or his name’_ Manipulation and abuse. If one were demeaning, overbearing and abusive to HIS children, wife or family, HE would be jumping up and down.

But instead of admitting fault, he is still threatening me with arrest 6 months later. The Chief and I are in a stalemate. A catch22. He is also vowing to violate a FOIA request. I recorded him Barking, "GO AHEAD AND FILE A FIOA REQUEST... YOU'RE NOT GETTING THE VIDEOS! And the threat of arresting me is to discourage a lawsuit. Since then I have had a recorded conversation with everyone involved. These videos admitted fault of the rookie, but he was too stupid to realize it. I got him on the defensive, and he talked. This is how I know what he saw as he approached. Which renders the detainment... pointless, if not illegal, but the prolonged detainment is 100% his ego and illegal. I also now have dash and bodycams, and bought a brand new 8 camera system for my house... knowing the Chief hates cameras. And the local cops avoid any conversation with me. That rookie, said in the video, several incriminating things. Along with a bunch of copsplaining that defies logic. But both of them prioritize the BLUE LINE over the constitution. Rookie: "I don't really know... ""✌️THE AMENDMENTS✌️""... because I'm not an activist". (Using fingered air quotes as if understanding the bill of rights that he vowed to protect isn't important, and if you do understand them... that defines you as an activist.) Yet, I have not published a single video... or used his name, and only referred to them as the Chief and the rookie. Of course, we only have 5 officers in thier whole department, so my Facebook posts in the city FB page... needs only a deduction to figure it out. FYI, The Chief and I came up with an agreement, allowing me to speak to each of the 5. The 4th was the rookie. When I came back to speak to number 5. I was told the Chief no longer will allow it. I'm sure, it means he reviewed the bodycam footage of the discussion. And realized, this kid got emotionally charged, then defensive, then talked way too much. I have not yet filed the FOIA request for the videos. I have a plan for that. 1. Obtain as much info as I can get without the series of bodycam footage. 2. Wait for the 1 year mark. (Letting things calm down and defenses drop) 3. Fill out detailed FIOA forms for each video. Have them ready and copied for each member of City council and the mayor, and the police station, as well as the Chief. Then meet with the city in public to discuss the constitution and accountability. Once they boast they are very accountable. I point out the chiefs vow against a FIOA request. Then I inform everyone in one shot, that today is the day I will be filing this form, so we can all watch our Chief violate the Statute like he vowed to do with premeditated intention. 4. If at this point I am arrested for, "obstruction". I will bail out and start the lawsuit, as now... it will demonstrate they are only charging me as retaliation. But, if they do not... I will get the videos. Then it may not need to go to court. As change is my goal. Note: I do not trust that a judge in this red state, red town, will do the right thing. It would have to go to appeals court to obtain a victory on any criminal charges against me. And in Civil Court, it could go either way... flip a coin. I'd rather, make my point... and go home.

I know first hand the results of the "opioid crisis". As a chronic pain sufferer all of my pain meds were taken away and they sent me to a drug rehab doctor that pute on a drug rehab medicine that does zero to relieve my pain. It's all a shell game where the doctors and hospitals get paid and the ones that are truly in need of pain relief are left out in the cold.
@debrajol3585 Жыл бұрын
I’m so very sorry this happened to you. Look around for a pain management clinic in the area or a larger city close by. I’ve had similar issues with Drs.. and pharmacies are always asking questions and threatening to expel me for no reason. At this time I have a broken shoulder with dislocation and nerve damage.. upcoming surgery’s and they still put me thru the drill with each Rx. It’s insanity. I wish they would chase down the people who sell their meds and the illegal drug dealers.. but they pick us bc we’re easy targets. So sad that they take this approach. Until they experience it personally or have a close relationship who desperately needs pain relief..then they switch sides. Remember Edwards.. the senator who was viciously fighting against marijuana? Then his wife got breast cancer and was busted in a bad part of town buying marijuana. She was an advocate for it into her dying days. She never understood how people could or why they would until that was the only thing that kept her going & eating. It’s the same thing with pain meds.. they are so against it until they are in the position where they have to have it. Idk why they can’t simply be neutral about these things.

Let me guess….suboxone? This drug is dangerous, and is literally being “PUSHED” by an organization called “PROP”, and specifically Andrew Kolodny and Roger Chou. Kolodny not only “pushes” the drug, but testifies as an anti-opiate “expert witness” in court hearings against pain patients having access to safe and effective opiate medications at $500,000 a pop! Great gig for PROP, DEA, and all other doctors AGAINST PAIN PATIENTS. The @CDC AND @DEA_HQ are also RESPONSIBLE for this misdirected “opiate crisis”and are arresting GOOD DOCTORS, seizing drs assets, and stealing patients files for use of MRIs, etc posing as patients, in setting up other doctors! This is a TRAVESTY to openly TORTURE PATIENTS IN PAIN. It’s ILLEGAL! But not in AMERIKKA.

You can't always trust your lawyer. Despite the fact that they have a fiduciary duty to look out for your interests, they are just people. And I know my lawyer had too many cases. The lawyer I had, I often felt she was working for the prosecution (Legal Aid), not me. So I trusted my own instincts, not her. And I'm glad I did. If I wouldn't have, I would not have had the option to sue. Because, even though the deal she wanted me to take was not something that would leave me with a criminal record, that wasn't the point. I didn't do anything wrong, so I shouldn't have to take any deal at all. Not only that, I knew they had a horrible case. I felt that these deals they were offering, were the last gasp of a dying man before they dropped my charges.
@seventieslove8783 Жыл бұрын
GOOD FOR YOU. That's EXACTLY what they do when the prosecutor looks at the video and sees that it's yet another instance of cop tyranny - they see the TRUTH and realize that you COULD sue them... So THAT'S why they want a PLEA DEAL so that you CAN'T sue them. People need to CONSIDER that and REMEMBER that - Remember that THESE people are operating from a place of being GUILTY and EVIL and KNOWING IT - YOU are operating front the stance of being INNOCENT and therefore in the position of getting not only possible justice but recompense for the victimization forced upon you. They KNOW all this - they KNOW the citizenry is likely to AWARD DAMAGES to victims of tyranny. THAT'S why they don't immediately dismiss but try to get you TRAPPED into a deal.

@@therealnewsmy grandmother is a DA here in Massachusetts and I just watched this video with her and asked her what her thoughts are regarding the outcome... first off my grandmother is a Superior Court DA in a different county than this one but they all are part of the commonwealth. She said after watching this she would have subpoenaed the video and the officer and played the video for the judge with the officer present and then dismissed charges against Paul and brought up charges against the officer for falsifying a police report and abuse of power. Also she would have pushed the case up to the federal court for clear cut civil rights violations. This man she said was railroaded and the prosecution team there in that court needs an internal investigation done for prosecutorial misconduct.

The "Troublemaker" in this video was this cop who was being the aggressor and harassing innocent people. The cop appears to be physically unfit for duty and on the force. This incident was nothing more than "a police phishing expedition" for someone to arrest that night. There was no complaint or call made about two people running in and out of the store. The cop lied about "the call" and made that up as a false pretext. The cop also lied about the false assault and battery charges. The OP should have demanded a trial and buried the cop in court for misconduct. This is definitely a civil rights violation case and requires paid restitution and complete expunging from the OP's record.

They’re trained to be this way-and they become egotistical - enjoying having authority over people- it’s a viscous cycle- also like NY they’re hiring many young veterans who’ve been in 2-3 or more combats - there’s underlying mental issues such as PTSD- and they’ve been gaslighted from military training and while in active duty- then they go through another military style brainwashing and combat training with emphasis on (most important is your safety- officers safety) … power of persuasion is a very dangerous thing-!
