I think the little girl didn't realize that she was being saved (saved forever)... She probably thought the police just came to ask questions and were going to leave later and that she would be back under the control of Jody and Ruby. She probably thought that if she didn't say anything at all....she wouldn't get in more trouble when they left. The poor kid was terrified of those two women.
@monicarenee79498 ай бұрын
@@katiehenry7 yeah I also got the sense that she thought she would get them in trouble and get punished later. So sad
@southbug278 ай бұрын
@@katiehenry7She probably thought they were there to put her in jail for being “a bad girl”. The boy who escaped told them something like he knows he’s a bad boy & deserved to be punished, but he was too hungry or his physical abuse was too much. It often takes years to decades for abused kids to really realize how abused they were & that there’s nothing they could’ve done to stop the abuse because their abuser is rotten & miserable on the inside so the try to beat the misery out by hurting & blaming other people. There are 2 types of parents who abuse their kids. The first kind was abused as a child & is copying their parents parenting; they don’t want to abuse their kids, but they don’t know how to make themselves stop, & it’s also made worse if they are drunk or high. They do love their kids are often fun & loving to their kids too. The second kind of abuser can’t be taught how to control their tempers & learn better parenting methods because they actually enjoy hurting people. Jodi, Rubi, & possibly Kevin those kind of abusers; they’re sadists. I think you have to compare them to serial killers to truly understand them. They aren’t people who just lose it because a kid is crying or misbehaving in some way. They like to think about evil things they will do when they are driving to work or going to sleep, etc. Those type of people should never be given custody or even visitation with their kids because they are the kind of parents who kill their children either because they take things too far & the kids die “accidentally” or they get so mad they kill them on purpose.

These first responders are amazing, they are so patient. They are obviously committed to not compounding these kids trauma.

i love the way that officer was talking to E. The way he was telling her who he was and saying her feelings were valid, and just talking to her so calmly. that officer deserves a raise!!!

Watching Ruby sit there so smug, I could lunge through this computer! The audacity of these two unhinged women is staggering

After seeing the uncensored images of that poor little boy's wounds, I hope her cellmates show her no mercy. It was way more awful than I anticipated. Ruby and Jodi need to be locked away from society as long as possible.

I really hope he gets charged. Deadbeat not talking to his children in over a year. Even the one that was 18 and had moved out?

He has an obligation as their father to make sure they’re safe, fed, clothed & housed. And he didn’t even speak to them. Shameful.

maybe because in today's world as a man he is just expected to provide; protest too strongly against the woman and she takes his kids and the house and he has to still provide? ever think of this default situation that plays out in courts all over the country every day? ever think of this?

All of the investigators are so kind. And Ruby Franke sits there and stares like a psycho while someone is asking her questions.

There is literally no way that the father did not know. No way. Nope. Gross. Kudos to those responding officers and the neighbor. They did what no other adult in those kids lives did.

The way the officer spoke to the girl is so caring and kind. Must've been so hard to find her like that and see how traumatized she is. The officer was so patient.

A woman who is that much in control of herself knows exactly how abusive she was to her children.
