I have always lived in Indianapolis, and I've only visited Seattle once (strictly airport to downtown) so I don't know much about it. But I still find this very funny. I can think of our own equivalents of these places. Kent reminds me of Speedway or Beech Grove.

As a Washingtonian, I can tell you that yes, he was never a true scientist (although he once was a Boeing engineer). And yes, he is the same Bill Nye of whom you speak. I used to record this show every Sunday night. They'd make fun of every neighborhood in the greater Seattle region, and mercilessly. It's a damn shame he's since been assimilated by the Borg of climate change alarmism , but consider his past work: COPS in Ballard Worst Girlfriend In The World - Therapy Those were truly the days.

@@charliesmith4072 the entire state has gone down hill, and most cities in the US got worse after COVID. It's the result of unaffordable housing which drives crime up and increases homelessness. The same thing happened in 2008 after the crash, crime shot up just about everywhere. Many Kent citizens were originally from the Central District of Seattle who were then gentrified out of their generational homes. The idiocy of Seattle politicians has caused them to send whoever they deem "undesirable" to the surrounding suburbs for them to deal with. Also as for the "uneducated" thing John said, Kent has only gotten more educated year by year and had a 3.8% higher graduation rate in 2020.
