I can't speak for what happened exactly, but I do know that sometimes, they end a sketch on TV for time purposes even though it goes longer in person. Perhaps this is one of those times? Or maybe they just really didn't know how to end it.

Vocally, maybe. Appearance-wise, Rob Lowe is supposed to look like the illegitimate son of Charles Rocket (Lowe has the square jawline and piercing blue eyes that Charles Rocket had). Michael Longfellow looks more like Cecily Strong's long-lost brother, with Norm Macdonald's dry humor and Bill Hader's penchant for playing sadistic game show hosts (and strangely, can play Bill Hader when he's not playing weird characters or doing spot-on celebrity impressions).

Not your fault. At all. If you've seen the show, you quickly realize that the "categories" can be incredibly vague. One person had "Simpsons Actors" which consisted of pictures of actors who voiced characters on the show--NOT pictures of the characters themselves. This included guest spots, and people who played themselves. So random.

Bowen actually told Rolling Stone (yeah i googled it): “Between me and Shane, both of us have tried to rise above that really strange circumstance, and I think we have. He seems to be doing well, and I’ve been very lucky.” They hugged as the cameras cut for the close of the show. They follow each other on social media. They very clearly don’t hate each other. For some reason certain Shane fans seem upset that there *isn’t* some massive firestorm. Even the Daily Beast seems like it’s phoning it in trying to say he bombed. Comedy’s for laughing at, not whining about, one way or the other.

That’s why it’s the first time I didn’t find his lines funny. Being a professional doesn’t mean sitting on the show. Look at Shane’s character in the eye and take the high road. He didn’t connect with his lines at all, rushed to get them out and off the stage.
