I am a huge auditor fan & watch the channels everyday. I remember that police only have a certain amount of time (20 minutes) for a traffic stop. If there isn't a K9 dog within close proximity they can't prolong the stop & wait hour + for the dog to get there. So i wish the time limit would of been discussed to educate the viewers. The cop was WRONG saying "there is no routine traffic stop".

They still have to have RAS of a crime before they can demand you papers. If it is not a traffic stop, they cannot demand insurance and registration

The DA will just drop it before it gets to a judge. If it did make it to a judge, there's no way a judge would lecture a cop about how screwed up the charges are. Judges are some of the biggest bootlickers who believe cops are hero's doing a dangerous job.

Female officer lies like a rug. Digital proof of insurance is absolutely acceptable or it wouldn't be a thing. Changing lanes is legal as long as you signal. She's just hoping he won't fight it. If he takes it to court it will get thrown out and I guarantee she won't even show up. The courts need to start punishing officers for wasting Court resources.

She never said that. She stated you need a physical copy of your registration. I live in Florida. The law here states you must have a physical copy. That being said, it was a BS stop. She was butt hurt. She wanted only to show she had balls. Her ego has taken over. Couldn't really cite him, so she found something. She has penis envy.

The signing of the ticket is an affidavit that you will appear in court for your ticket if you do not elect to pay the fine. It would absolutely be within her discretion to arrest him and take him to a bail hearing to secure his appearance if he does not. The officer actually erred in releasing him by refusing to sign.

For the record you DO have to sign them. It's complete b.s, but they will ruin your entire life over it. You probably know this, but many people don't. There is an endless supply of videos being released showing them arresting people, even violently, simply for thinking they have the option to decline the ticket. Without warning, say "no" once, and they will rip you outta the car. And considering this is America, and you have a right to remain silent, can you blame them for thinking they have that option? I couldn't even imagine ruining a life because they declined signing some b.s without even getting a chance to read it. But they will happily oblige. When a cop hears "I don't answer questions", they are allowed to ignore that. "I require a lawyer to be present during all police questioning." Has more weight. Continued questioning, after this statement, can be rebutted with "Are you denying my right to have a lawyer present during police questioning?" These 2 sentences are much better legal approaches to on-street police interrogations.

I would probably challenge, in Florida digital license and registration ARE ACCEPTED. I am pretty sure the wording was something like this: The Supreme Court has established that a traffic stop must be temporary and last no longer than is necessary to complete the tasks associated with the traffic infraction. Police may not extend a traffic stop to conduct a search or investigation without reasonable suspicion, and a traffic stop becomes unlawful if prolonged beyond the time reasonably needed to complete the tasks.

I believe when they ask for your SSN# it is to eventually to start harassing you on your job until they find something on you to take away your freedom. Citizens, never ever answer questions. Always ask if you are free to go. If you are innocent, don't argue. Take it to court. If it seems you are the escalator or if you become combative, things can go very bad for you. And the courts could possibly side with the cop based on your attitude. Be good, be safe and stay out of trouble.❤❤❤❤❤

When a cop asks me a question where you heading, or where you going, or have you been drinking, I deflect it with a question. They ask me again I say, did you swear an oath to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States? When they say yes, if they ask the same question again, you say what is it that you don’t understand? That usually shuts them up for good.

Cop is either just wrong or he is lying. A traffic stop can only last a REASONABLE amount of time, 20-30min. The length of time it takes to write a ticket. Unless you are under arrest.

Very true in the State of Florida license registration and insurance and that's it what I do is hand over those three documents and invoke my fifth amendment right to remain silent and if they asked me to get out the car I will I don't even answer the question how do you say your name I just replied with I invoke my 5th amendment right to remain silent 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔

The DMV emails me my registration and my insurance is digital also so what does not having a physical copy have to do with the situation??? But everything is digital now !

the police officer pull me over once for a so-called rolling stop. Never issued a ticket 50 did remove me from the car I want to search it. I laughed and said good luck with that the officer replied why. The car is locked in the keys are on the front seat I thought his mind was going to pop. They just got in there vehicle and drove away

That's a bunch of crap because I got media traffic tickets and I never signed a damn one in the State of Florida and I lived here all my life not one traffic ticket I signed 🤔🤔🤔
