You are right, sir. I do not regret riding the Pacific beaches solo on a dirtbike through Nicaragua, through Costa Rica, and past the canal zone in Panama. Living out of a backpack and sleeping on the beach in a high-strung hammock with a fly was beautiful. When you judge the life you lived, it's not the amount of breaths you take. It's all about those moments that take your breath away... said by everyone, lived by few.

I read this as I am 52 and an American in Brazil. Been to a ton of countries, semi-retired already and have enough to LIVE now. Trying to find what country I want to live in with my girl and my 7 cats. LIFE IS GOOD!

I'd like to witness the history of Europe, but fell in love with Central and South America. I never lived outside of the US, but spent months outside US borders. Costa Rica was great until just a few years ago when things changed down there. Columbia is my new getaway destination. You mentioned traveling to many countries. Was Columbia one of them?

The Coast Guard and local police check out everybody coming into that inlet, especially at night. Smuggling is a big problem in that area. Looks like you were at Munion Island. Love these videos. Wish they were longer or more frequent. lol

Oddly the only time I have been stopped was in the day time. 9am or so after catching a huge shark a few miles offshore. Iq never was stopped at night..they probably use drones or have some other tech. Literally hundreds of times out and the only time I lug a huge black thing on board I’m stopped 😏 oddly coincidental...

Love the video with the cop pulling up on you while you are describing the trip. He was pretty nice compared to most. They didn't even do the "safety inspection" with the dog that sniffs for safety. If your boat was in better shape, they would definitely bring the dog. They love to take people's property.

Hi All, Your GPS capable phone will give you all the nav functions if you install the proper app. I'm using Polaris Navigation currently but there are many you can try for free to see what you like best. I know Navionics has one and there's dozens of others that makes great backup and handy dingy nav for unfamiliar areas.
