the thing about the notebook was because the search warrant isn't for anything pertaining to a notebook. Lets say you get a search warrant on the suspicion that they are hoarding guns. You are there to look for guns whether they be in a locked container or whatever. Looking into notebooks has no correlation to the guns so its a violation. In this case, it is logical to look in any containers that might contain guns. Going on someone's computer or reading diaries isn't part of that search warrant so you need a separate warrant to justify looking into those.

Locked boxes probably yeah, requires more paperwork etc and luckly it doesnt stay locked for a while due to investigation

They guessed the code to jacks box because it was 1234 and the locked box in the pawn shop one of the officers said they opened it (they opened the unlocked one twice) so they just forgot about the locked one

Those are behind safe that has keypad, so they have to get some extra paperwork for to "break into" those kind of safe's

@@Sammakko123 It shouldn't be the in lockdown because of the keypadded safe, Bean told Anna (in her vod) that he had checked both (I think he was mistaken and must've opened the same unlocked safe twice). And then in the house with the keypadded crate in this clip you even see Bean say you can remove the lock without an additional warrant (I don't know if that is true but he does it anyway) and he proceeds to open it by guessing the combination which makes Highwater uncomfortable as she believes they need additional paperwork.
