if yall are wondering, this Black cop Michael Goosby retired from LAPD in 2022 (after several promotions including becoming the lead K9 trainer) and is now the head of private security at a major US bank based in LA

10:45 is an exact example of why black officers and good officers that understand the community are important. He took the time to speak to them respectfully and not ignore them or bring hostility towards them. He demonstrated that he is looking out for their best interest and isnt there to harass or hurt anybody.

6:50 This black gentleman officer had it right back then, and it's still right today. There is NO such thing as a "Stereotype", or a "Profile", if it's just the plain ole truth.. 🤷 Now, if it is just some made up lies, or doesn't represent the real issues at all, THEN it would be a "Stereotype", or "Profiling".

A guy like Officer Mike Goosby just got it. He's wasn't swayed by rhetoric, identity politics or trying to prove himself or his "hood Blackness" just because he was Black cop from the hood himself. It's a God blessed miracle he was able to emerge from that environment with a level head and a strong enough will to make it out the hood and succeed. Hats off to him!
