In my first shooting I realized afterwards, after adrenaline goes down just how loud it was and like you said it seemed so quiet after you shoot. We train all the time with hearing protection so that was a surprise to me. Just wanted to share. Thank you both🙏

In my first one I remember thinking my gun was malfunctioning because it was so quiet or I thought it was quiet, I could hear the suspect’s gun, but couldn’t hear mine

I would love for you guys to interview fellow cops and have them just tell their life story. It is very interesting to hear how people became cops and then what they have done in their career.

New subscriber, thanks for taking the time & energy to share. I have a cousin that works as a cop in San Diego so this is a viewpoint that NEEDS to be heard and shared. ❤

I’ve been listening to the podcast for 2 plus years now and I’d still be interested in yall going over each OIS you’ve been involved in. I know it probably feels like you’re showing off or feels weird to talk about but you never know, you could help a cop out by sharing your experience. This podcast in particular made me replace my battery on my rifle light. Also the radio traffic and crime scene photos are a nice additional. Love the podcast and hope y’all keep it up.

In mine I remember the bright blue sweatshirt in the light to only find out that there was not a single light on at all in the parking lot. Be proud to tell people how your training got you home that day! I tell young cops that 15 years of swat and training is why i am alive today.

I know many are going to come at me because they don’t agree with this but I believe in “If you reach the police will teach” and by that I mean lethal force, I cannot believe that in some states the rule is the suspect must have made an attempt to point the gun at you and then you can use lethal force. There is no situation where a civilian needs to reach for their fire-arm in the presence of police. You ask any officer, do you want to go into a situation where a gun is involved and it’s you and the suspect in 50/50 situation? Absolutely not, every officer would want that situation to be 100% in their favour and 0% in the suspects favour if it came down to using lethal force on suspect who is armed and ready to draw.

how often do you think when a cop has a bad day or feels insulted for what ever reason escalates that situation into force or deadly force, Iknow it happens.

Will you guys analyze Arkansas pursuits? They seem to veer into reckless endangerment in citizen oncoming traffic, and proud of their videos, ‘chase of the year, cool theme music….doesn’t seem right. And if the guy on the right wants to get married……

I’m currently looking at going into law enforcement really want to go to work for my local sheriff’s department have been doing ride alongs regularly. Love the channel it’s very helpful. But everyone asks why do I want to and it’s because I wanna try to make a difference even though I know that’s not possible and it’s like everyone hates law enforcement but I wanna try atleast. 2023 I was involved in a self defense shooting while in vacation we rented a house and 10hrs into being that the house had a armed intruder and a as forced to use deadly force and after that I’ve had the want to join law enforcement and eventually become a detective, sounds crazy but the sheriff’s deputies and the detective that came and worked my shooting was nothing but the best very helpful and helped keep my wife my 8 year old at the time daughter feel safe and try to make light of In everything that happened and was going on. And I wanna go in to be that deputy and one day detective that comes in and helps calm things and make the victims feel safe. But since that nightmare of a situation how we were treated has made me want to join law enforcement. As well as educating the public about being prepared and trained as much as possible for this kinda situation be in at home or out state on vacation because you never know when something could happen and thankfully I had a weapon to protect myself and my family from this crazy guy that idk why and was told probably never will did what he did but even what kinda drugs he was on because I begged this guy to just leave he knew I was armed knew cops had been call and where on the way and he wouldn’t leave and just kept getting crazier and crazier until he stops and starts drawing a handgun and I didn’t give him the chance to shoot and opened fire on him. But I can’t go into great detail because it is a open investigation waiting in the DA to sign off but was told my law enforcement I have nothing to worry about that it was clear self defense but it’s still in the back of my mind and a worry what if the DA thinking differently then everyone involved in the case so far but it happened in the state of Florida and in a super red district so that’s hopeful. But once it’s cleared I’d even be for speaking with yall about it if that’s something yall might be interested in putting up on your channel to kinda spread awareness to the non law enforcement people like myself that watch and support the channel and active law enforcement so they can help victims in cases like I was in. But Stay safe and have a blessed day everyone

I’m confused, if you had already shot the suspect, why didn’t you secure him then? Genuine question, not being a smart ass/Monday morning QB. Also, did you say you draw your gun multiple times a shift?
@brodyrichard263
@brodyrichard263 11 сағат бұрын
Yah dude they work in crime filled areas of California Most of their shift is spent drawing your gun 😂. Seriously I’m not kidding it’s bad there

@@brodyrichard263 I used to be a cop in north St Louis city and even I didn’t draw my gun that much. There’s no way he drew his multiple times every shift
