Finally! A great instructional Coptic stitch video, without dreadful background music! Nice clear instructions and the double thread in the last signature is neat, instead of over the back cover . Thank you!

I am glad you liked the video! Yes, the double thread is just one way to do the cover, but I think it is most straightforward, especially for people new to bookbinding stitching :) Thanks for your comment.

Thank you for your version of making a hard cover Coptic stitch book. For several years I've followed another book binder who sewed the cover and first of last signature on at the same time so she didn't have the double stitching in the last signature, however I liked your idea of the french knot at the beginning and end of every row, so Thank you for sharing and from now on I will be doing both versions in my book binding

Thanks for your comment, I appreciate hearing what you're up to. Yes there are variations for sure, I love that you are trying different ways because different people prefer different techniques. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS! Your video really helped me SEE the actual stitching method and I made my 1st coptic stitched sketchbook! I had so many old 18" x 24" drawing pads and I wanted to use them on a smaller scale. I watched so many helpful videos on this, but yours was the BEST that I could find that showed the stitching clearly. The extra "tug" really helped the stitches to look very uniformed and consistent. I used a curved needle so it made the process go alot faster. THANK YOU AGAIN! I LOVE MY HOMEMADE SKETCHBOOK! IT TURNED OUT AWESOME!
