As someone who played 1.6 and source for so long. This game personally for me brought me back to the more basic days of PC gaming. This is an old fashion PC game. It’s quiet, it’s casual, it’s arcadey. You come in you shoot people and that’s it. It’s not so damn try hard like valorant and loud and unnecessary like apex. If you play CS2, everything people are saying is wrong with spectre divide you could kinda say about CS2. I think the only issue I have with spectre divide is their store. They aren’t going to be a big game like apex the finals valorant. They should’ve had the store similar to helldivers 2. The game shouldn’t have had skins and accessories be one of its focal points, because you bring in idiots who only play games for that reason. I personally don’t care if the game is “dead” or not. A lot of games have a small community, they don’t have to be a big game title to flourish.

Agreed, I'm also on par with how they thought it was ok to copy Valorant's pricing point when that is one of the biggest gripes.

I agree with your opinion. I am really looking forward for a polished version of this game. Hopefully, they fix the servers when we are queueing a trio. When I go solo, the servers are good, but when I go play with a duo or trio, its really laggy. Thank you for your opinion, I might consider playing it more now.

I think it’s wild when people say a game is dead a month after release. This game has so much potential and imo feels really good to play! Not every game is going to be a smash hit right out of the gate and that’s okay!

Great vid, I agree with a lot of these points. As for people who love cs, even they tend to lean towards spectre divide if they had to pick their poison. It's really just the valorant andy's who hate their game but want to hate on other games. Really some tribal zealous weirdo behaviour out here sometimes.

ive played over 100hrs of it and i still believe the game would be better as movement shooter instead of tact shooter it would be cool to see some vertical movement in the game it being a tac shooter makes the game so bland and uncreative def has potential but the movement and bugs are my biggest complaints

I was expecting a little more when you said you have a history with dying games. Cause I dont feel like that Battlebit example alone is a compelling argument on that end. Also, saying that the *only* things Spectre Divide has in common with Valorant being the skills and potentially the artstyle comes off as shallow. Like it definitely makes sense that the game is being compared to Valorant and CS, given the gamemode, weaponry and economy system for example. Of course you're still right in that they have key differences as well and aren't interchangeable with one another. Aside from that, great video, agree with the talking points generally speaking. Let's keep it up

I played the game over the weekend. The game is fun and definitely easier than most fps games. I got my ranked placements and placed P3. The maps are incredibly easy to memorize and get used to, but there will always be new tricks i see each game i play. Currently i have to wait around 5 minutes to upwards of 10 minutes just to get a queue, and if someone fails to lock in, it gets even longer. I really wish there was a priority queue for those times a person dodges or fails to lock in.

They were saying the same bullshit when valorant released now spectre divide is to valorant what valorant was to csgo my favorite reddit thread that applies to EVERYTHING we are hearing "The game just came out and people are calling it dead. The main reason for this is that the twitch viewership is not what it was in the beta. Well no shit dumbasses of course it’s gonna be lower than the beta. Most people recognize those numbers were scuffed because people wanted a drop. And for god’s sake when are people gonna realize that twitch viewership does not equal concurrent players. People may like playing the actual game more than watching a twitch stream. It doesn’t 1:1 replicate the amount of people playing and the health of the game. Shroud who is probably the biggest valorant streamer atm is not even on twitch, he streams for mixer. I just don’t understand people who say that valorant is dead already. The gameplay and mechanics are obviously appealing to a crowd of people. The games life span will depend on how riot listens to the community and handles patches. Just chill out and stop being insecure that valorant will take some of your playerbase from your favorite game, and please stop saying it’s dead just because your friend group decided it’s not for you and went back to the game you came from."

The game is pretty good, ngl. The playmaking potential of a spectre just makes it fun! As someone who played both Valorant and CSGO 2 (I like this more), the fact they decided on no ultimates for the design was good (hated dying to random sova ults and some even stunning you, etc not really fun to play against). That said, I wonder why I can't buy individual weapons (forced to buy in pairs). Would help save rounds more since 8 rounds isn't a whole lot to work with.

bro i wish that i had more push to do that, i am a very small channel and i doubt they would listen to me rather than the investors first. But i do agree but i have been seeing more ads so the marketing push is happening and a bigger one is definitely coming

Honestly when I first tried the game, I was a feeling a bit iffy with the dual spectre puck thingy. But man do I enjoy it now, so to hear things like “oh its dying” makes me a lil disappointed. The potential is there, and I hope it reaches it.

It is still better than Concord, but if the statement start with this comparing to Concord, then I believe the game need some space for improvements. It has Borderlands artstyle but without the vibe of Borderlands. You could say that all of the characters are bland with no personality, therefore people have a hard time relating to them, unlike the shooter that is pre-released on this same year "Fragpunk" who gets the personality that I'm talking about, and it doesn't shy away and have their own ults with some fun rougelike elements with the card mechanics, the agents are generic as usual but atleast they have identity. The devs have this motto that rather giving the "crew" their ultis, they prefer gunplay and yet it doesn't matter if you are sprinting, your accuracy will have no penalties and that seems counterintuitive on that mindset. The Spectre mechanics is wild and unique but if you played it over and over, the mechanics can be predictable, unless they keep producing maps with verticality. I would love to see the Spectre mechanics in Battle Royale Mode, if they did it, it would be the first on its genre but that is just wishful thinking. Borderland artstyle ✅ Gunplay accuracy of Apex ✅ Characters as bland as CS ✅ Skills like Valorant ✅ The only original is the Spectre mechanic. It seems that this game wants to do everything but are not polished in each of them, like Jack of All Trades but master of none. If anything, the thing that I like the most with this game is that it is 3 v 3 but you can control 2 at a time. I'm a solo player myself and I love playing solo tactical games such as TFT and Marvel Snap, I know the genre is by far the most contradicting because FPS is another type of beast than card games, but there is something in this game that scratches the itch where I only interact with 2 people, less flashy than Valorant and even if my aim is sh*t on FPS, like I said earlier that there is no penalty in accuracy when moving while shooting. I know that the dev team is small compared to hundreds of developer of Concord with 6 to 8 years in the making with a budget of an Endgame, Spectre Divide is a great game, but the genre is filled with Titans like Deadlock, CSGO and Valorant, not to mention the upcoming Rivals and Fragpunk, so its just a matter of what is more fun to casual and what's more competitive to pro.

IMO this game is just for people coping with not being able to play as good in other FPS titles, i have played this game and its easy asf 30+ kills in over 20 matches, I like the game don't get me wrong but it's just too easy.

i mean you definitely have not played high level ranked then. when you play against people who properly know how to use the skills and duality features game can hurt your head.

Sry but i hate the game and usually competitive games never come back after launch. The finals is such a good game and no matter how many changes the devs do ppl dont want to change their addiction.
