Aww, so the cat was protecting the human from the demon cat until the human chucked the cat outside, which pretty much sealed the human's fate.

I just realized that. oh my god... So the cat we saw after the human chucked out the cat was the Copy Cat, that's why there was a bird with its eyes gouged out then it grew up to a dog each day, leaving one last victim for the copy cat, THE HUMAN.

That's how you guys see it? I put all my brain (I am terrible at interpretation). But that is my conclusion. It was a trap all along. Seeing the dead kittens and birds along the video makes me guess that the copy is allowed to kill any kind of irrational animal. Also, when the guy picked the cat, something is already spying on the window, he tailed them. There is also a huge effort into tormenting the cat some nights, maybe he knew the owner, one time or another, would kick him out. Also the cat grows, which shows the monster keeps tailing them for some months. Maybe for humans it is different? They can't be freely killed? Killing the cat and assuming its form makes the owner let him enter his home, maybe it is what he wanted all along, a permission? An invitation to his home which implies now he can have him? Edit: to not let a hole in the explanation, some comment pointed out the pet looked indoors. Which point as the demon can't freely haunt the human, it can't either invite himself home, what would explain why such an effort to try to make the kitten leave. Moreover(last detail) the video also marks 3:10 am as a special hour, the one the cat gets tormented and the clock gets bloody, I do believe the shapshifter can only change this hour. It would explain why he waited him comeback from work, stared sleeping instead of just attacking the moment the ex-cat owner let him in.

I do have a question about the special hour though, at the end we see that it's morning when he goes outside and finds the cat's body, but the copycat is there inside and it looked like it was about to attack. So will he be attacked now? It's not the special hour, or could it be something like killing enough things at the special hour to gain enough power to be able to do something outside the special hour? Just something I was wondering about 😅

Here's my Death of the Author and Devil's Advovate/Contrarianism. The moral of the story is to not have pets to begin with, for many reasons. This just shows one main aspect reason, abuse, not valuing the animal as much as a person.

The person is so messed up. They knew their cat was upset by something outside and threw their cat outside with whatever it thought was threatening. They essentially left their cat outside to die. And even if there wasn't that shapshifter creature out and about, their cat didn't seem to have the survival skills necessary to stay outside like that. As we only ever see the cat indoors until that fateful night. But it's just an assumption made on my part. Still, I'd consider that a cruel move even if the shapeshifting creature wasn't present.

Yeah, from what I know from most cat owners if they get woken up in the middle of the night by their cat they'll either accept their fate and stay up or just go back to sleep after they figure out what the cat wants most of the time because they just love their cat to much. By the looks of it the cat was doing this every night, i would've been pretty creeped out eventually and called the police about it or something since at night your vision isn't that reliable more than ten feet infront of you, so I wouldn't really know what was out there even if I looked, I probably would've even flashed a flashlight out my window to see what it was if I was to scared to go and look for myself at the potential it was an intruder or som. But this person depicted in the video that's not even real just fictional probably doesn't know animal behavior that well and when it's considered odd, by the looks of it the cat was thrust upon them by the copycat looking for a victim and the sympathy he had for the bad situation it was in/worry if he left it there it would just die or be killed by whatever killed the other cats before he could get it help. And it might even be their first time owning an animal ( that doesn't rlly excuse leaving it outside tho, I've never left either of my dogs outside intentionally for more then a few hours and never over night ) It was probably the copycat that put those cats in the cardboard box looking for a potential victim to pick the cat up. Obvious by how the other two cats that are dead look similar to the animals that are hunted by the copycat, ripped open and missing their eyes. But also as we can see after the copycat took the place of the cat it wasn't eating at all, even the kills it made didn't look like it was eating them, even if someone was an inexperienced animal owner if their animal wasn't eating at all or eating raw animals even if the pet looks happy they'd be worried enough to get a vet checkup or something.

@@l3avy but if there is a predator outside as the cat has demonstrated there is something to fear outside its den, if it was something like a bird of prey, wolf or coyote, the cat would not be able to fend for itself, maybe it would be able to run or claw but without the skill it would likely die trying and become predator food

@@castaaconyet6923 Yeah! I live in the middle of nowhere, so there are a LOT of coyotes and natural predators of cats. Even in fiction, it’s dangerous to just throw a domesticated animal, no matter the age, outside. For both the animal and other animals.

Despite this being just a draft/animatic the suspense and horror feels so real, and it’s very well done in both sound and vibe. The story is so mysterious and a lack of a solid explanation really makes it so much creepier, which is great. Amazing work, this whole thing is really good!

I don’t know why but that’s just how my mind works, whenever i watch some horror i imagine what i would do in that situation and this animatic really put me in this position.Just imagine, you find a cat in a box with two dead ones eaten and without fricking eyes, imma be honest u would be scared to even get it, then everytime your act screams to the window i will be pissed too, prb will put him outta the room but not the house.Then you find dead animals with no eyes over and over, your cat looks stranger and stranger, then you look outside and you see shit like this, i will prb be ready to defend myself like he does and then u see ur cat fricking dead and some meow behind you.CHILLS THROUGHOUT WHOLE VIDEO

Pelo oque eu entendi , é basicamente uma criatura que troca de hospedeiro. Ela seguiu o gato des de seu nascimento porque tinha matado os outros filhotes e talvez fosse o usar o gato hospedeiro para conseguir um humano como hospedeiro. A partir do momento em que o homem resolve deixar o gato do lado de fora , a criatura que antes estava no corpo de um passaro , passou para o corpo do gato. ( Isso explicaria a cena final onde apenas esta o corpo do gato )

Lo que yo entendí es que este gatito podía ver o contenía algún tipo de entidad que tenía sed de sangra y que necesitaba matar o torturar, también que ellos traían desgracias a las personas que los cuidaban. El chico al sacar al gatito al exterior parece que ése ente poseyó al gato y usar su cuerpo para matar a otros animales para poder hacerse lo suficientemente fuerte como para materializarse y poder ir tras su real objetivo el cual era el muchacho.

I love the concept in the storyboard, it's so good! I do feel sad for what the cat has been through. A theory: the cat demon creature only shows up to haunt those that are mean to poor animals, tormenting them as much as possible. The cat might've been protecting its person from the same fate that the cat has seen before. The dead kittens might've been a sign that someone had been horrible to them before, the same way the person's cat had in the end of the storyboard. It does give me some flashbacks to a game I had played that's called "Do NOT Take This Cat Home". A terrifying game with SO many endings, it's crazy! Or a little like the game "Momotype".

What happened to bro? Like he was doing fine at first and he was nice to the cat, but flash forward he is doing terrible. I'm curious as to what happened, cause he wasn't getting enough income, wasn't taking care of himself, and was neglecting the cat. I feel really bad for the cat. I think that the demon attached itself on the cat. Because at the beginning we can see the cats siblings, and their corpses are much like the animals that were killed later on. Love the art!! I remeber when I first watched you, you gave me nightmares. BUT WE LOVE THAT!!! :]
