This was so well done: I've always been fascinated by the story of the K-37's journey from Standard Gauge Consolidations to 3-Foot Gauge Mikados. It's nice to see the tale summarized like this.

It would be amazing if C&TS could get one of the other K-37s running, since Cumbres Pass is practically their home turf. I still say 491 should go back for a charter some day, although I admit I say this knowing nothing of the cost or practicality.

0:043 - Hang on now...can the Thomas' sent around the country run on narrow AND standard gauge track, or is this dual gauge track?
@jwrailve36152 жыл бұрын
How long ago was the black hawk branch abandoned? When I went there in 2021 I was amazed by the mixture of super historical narrow and standard gauge all within an hour driving bubble. I’ve been to Colorado many times and the last two winters drove there from the lone star state. Narrow gauge has grown on me since I went from modeling late 1900’s bn and Sf diesel to coastal south tx 1910-1935 small steam. Only narrow gauge lines we had that I know of are the piney wood narrow gauge lines which ran some of the latest steam runs, from my understanding all the way up to the 70’s.
