For your discus tank id highly highly recommend getting a lot of plants live ones in there. Bc as you know the discus are so shy and skiddish they really want those plants in there to rest on hide in and sleep on. They do add oxygen into the water They so many more beneficial things for your tank as well. Your discus will really appreciate them. Making sure the water is warm enough is very important for them. What do you feed your crawfish btw?

There is a reason why they usually don’t have a mantis shrimp in aquariums It breaks the glass with a pouch faster then a 22 caliba rifle Sry 😅
@Angel-wr1be4 жыл бұрын
@Sailorperson yes, mantis shrimp can easily break their tank but it's a rare occurrence if you keep them in a big enough tank where they don't feel the need to move and find more space. This big guy is actually a Peacock Mantis Shrimp which is actually common for aquarium keepers who have a lot of experience. Even more interesting is there's two kinds, the one George has is rocking "clubs" while some actually have spear like limbs to capture prey. There are currently 450 different types of mantis shrimp and they're some of the most important little predators for the tropical shallows and reefs. These guys are super interesting and probably one of the most colorful shrimp in terms of color range of all the types, however very little is known about them because they tend to hide in their burrows more often than not. One last interesting fact? That mantis shrimp actually KNOWS who George is as they actually have a very good memory for those they interact with frequently. They get to know their neighbors and caretakers by visuals and smells. Just.. Don't stick your fingers or hand in there because their "punch" really really hurts and can reach up to 1,500 Newton's aka 337.21 lbs of force. That's enough force to break your fingers.
@himlolo3 жыл бұрын
