Never saw it like that. Always looked like to me that white diamond was some sort of big matriarch, like a very old grandmother, but still slaying 💅 (think abuela from encanto) and that blue was more motherly to pink (which is why she suffered the most) and yellow was more the older sisterly type.

This really fits the characters well and also fits the I heard it two characters where there’s a other mother and they are violent, but their other mother is just very nice while the monster broke into the room and killed their mother. Sarah walked out of the closet and then the other mother hugged them tightly and also been nice to them and also violently dragged her away.
