The way to deal with this in the longer term is to ensure that any Labour Councillor who votes to ban this film should be removed from their seat at the very first opportunity. Challenge every one of them with a candidate using a platform of freedom of expression and speech. Get rid of as many of these pathetic self serving fascists as possible throughout the UK.

We recently screened it in Portsmouth, the show was sold out so a second was quickly arranged. Days before our second screening it was cancelled. Reason was due to certification but each county has had certification. Its a real shame as those who attended the first screening were truly emotionally effected by it, being mostly ex labour members in there 50/60s.

Ambiguity is never permitted: they won't write say 'interpreted as..." or "alleged to be..." or "possibly...". Censorship is as effective in reverse, and is used in this fashion intentionally. If something is banned or censored it creates more interest in it, and the interest is usually magnified/intensified and spreads very quickly for this reason.

The making of this film cost the filmmakers a fair bit of money, I would assume. So, while I understand they need to recover some of that money, and also to have funds for further production's. It would make sense to me if Platform Films opened a KZbin channel and have a members area, we're for say a £10 annual fee, that this and further production's could be available to those who can't find, or get to a venue to see this film. Just a thought👍

What you guys aught to do is find small businesses to show it, like independent pubs. A corporation that turns over hundreds of millions a year and is in the public eye can suffer substantial damages to their reputation in any political dispute, no matter what it is. Politics divides and they want to market to everyone so understand their perspective. The return does not warrant the risk. vis-a-vis the independent guy who runs a local pub. If he got controversy millions might hear of his business and out of those some will patronise it, so he is the opposite. He benefits from national media exposure. Also a point about damages. The law on defamation in calculating damages to award, it hinges on how many view it. Online this could be millions, but 50 people seeing it means the damage a judge could award would be tiny. In this case you aught to have a legal fund to underwrite it.
