But my sympathy for Waters is tempered by the fact that he was guilty of doing the same sh&t at political figures in the past, including dedicating parts of his shows to ignorant political rants (and yes, I'll call anyone who thinks socialism is a good idea as ignorant), and calling persons X, Y and Z fascists, when they were anything but. Thank you Roger. As an English woman with a Palestinian daughter in law I am so grateful for your comments. My daughter in law was living here in the UK but moved to Denmark to be closer to her Mum who had to leave everything they had and move the family there for their safety. She visit her grandparents in Palestine each year but always returns deeply saddened by the atrocities she has witnessed during her stay. She has worked and lived very happily in Denmark for some time but claims that over recent years there has been a turn around toward Palestinian people in Denmark, she no longer feels safe and feels the need to hide her identity. She and her family are the most kind and loving family one could wish to meet and they live in constant fear for relatives who remain in Palestine.

Yet to hear him speak you wouldn't even know that Hamas exists as he whitewashes the Palestinian side of the issue for his own political convenience sake. I just took this as #1) He's being criticized for portraying a Nazi-like character (although, in a negative light) and #2) He is also politically critical of the Israeli government (which isn't necessarily unreasonable). I can recall with vivid detail, the sounds of "Another Brick in the Wall" reverberating from a balcony in Rheindahlen West Germany, filling the air around me as I sat, as a kid, playing in a sandpit. That moment left an indelible mark on me, and your music has been a significant part of my life since then. It's important to note here that, as a fan and follower, I haven't always found myself in agreement with your viewpoints or your beliefs on certain topics.
