Even though it’s almost a year old, it’s still a good honest video. It’s great to hear what you’ve encountered after running it through the seasons. Cord King should hook you up if you buy a new one! Good Content, thank you.

Thanks very much! I appreciate that! I'm still pleased with it. It's big enough to get the job done and small enough to be able to easily move it to a customer for onsite processing.

Thanks Laurent! I figured that if someone is going to buy one they should see an honest review. Warts and all. As always, thanks for watching!

Think for a first it's a pretty good choice.. I'm going onto my 3rd and less than 4 weeks out for the 27-40 model 60... all the bells and whistles.. thinking next year if all goes well I'll get a smaller bar model to run the smaller diameter logs and to take care of my camping customers ... im calling today to switch the wedges from 16 way to an 8 and 4 way box wedge and discuss the ram cover.. with the auto split I can see a major problem if a log ever got back there.. she'd tear it apart... thanks for the review.. I searched for reviews but came across you from a different video I had watched.. maybe edit your tags might be easier to find.. thanks alot for this!!! I subbed

Your 3rd processor! Wow! That's awesome. I wish I had that much business. I hadn't thought about the splitter auto return if a log fell behind the splitter plate. That really would make a mess. Thanks a bunch for watching! I'll try to make my tags better.

Your sawdust shoot is an easy fix , just cut it, hinge on top, and add side plates so it stays tight when you would be using it. Its own weight will keep it in place.

Good idea. I may do that when time permits. Thanks!

I enjoy your matter-of-fact speaking style, better than any of your KZbin 'competitors.' Doing things off the cuff is easy to say to do, but is different, when actually having to do it, but you do well at this. Just wondering your first name?

Machine appears to be built with budget in mind. The welds were run to cold.

There are a couple things that I think they cheaped out on but it's really built very well in my opinion. I only had one weld break and yes it was because it wasn't run hot enough. Thanks for watching!

I find it strange that you do not have sequence valves, so the saw would not be able to come down or cut while the ram is extended. Nice machine, though.
@Millstone_Firewood
@Millstone_Firewood 11 ай бұрын
The hydraulics are not that complex. Adding sequencing would increase the production costs by quite a bit. Of course with Cord King, they will build a machine any way you want. All it takes is $$$$. Thanks for watching!

That's really fascinating , The Chinese processors I sell have better features than you have , like auto return , cover over the ram , hydraulic motor on saw protected . Admittedly they aren't built as strong and less powerful , but only cost about $11,000 USD with log deck . Great for 14 inch and lower but can cut upto 19 inch , but lots of resplitting ! from the 4 or 6 way 20 ton ram

I'm a big fan of building things strong. The Cord King is pretty tough and takes a lot of abuse. In spite of it's flaws, I really do like it. Thanks for watching and commenting!

What size spider coupling is in this processor?
@Millstone_Firewood
@Millstone_Firewood 2 ай бұрын
The pump doesn't use a spider. It's a different type of coupling. Not sure what you call it. I'll have to get back to you or you can just contact Cord King directly.

Ouch! That's sounds painful. I've had pieces pop out at me before. Had one chunk come out and actually bend the aft support for the shield. Happened very fast. Thanks for watching!

Looks out dated compared to the competition
@Millstone_Firewood
@Millstone_Firewood 8 ай бұрын
Outdated? Hardly. It's a basic mechanical design. There are no solenoids or electronics to deal with. Easy maintenance and repair. If you want to spend over $100k on a machine that has all the bells and whistles go for it. This machine is simple and effective.

If you had to do it again, my guess is you'd buy orange and blue... Seems a ton is niggling issues on that machine and the customer is the beta tester.

Not at all. Cord King has been around for a very long time. Their machines are awesome. Anything mechanical is going to have issues. Have you watched "In The Woodyard" ? His machine also has little issues. But just like Cord King, the manufacturer stands behind their product and helps resolve problems asap. Cord King has treated me very well. The main difference between the companies is, Cord King offers machines for different levels of production. Meaning a machine that I could actually afford. The other company only offers large processors that are way out of my price range. If I had to do it again, I'd get a BIGGER Cord King. Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching!
