I love these restorations because they demonstrate that power tools can be repaired and rebuilt. This one has been through the works and made bank for its first owner and to see it rebuilt and kept from landfill is nice to see. I hope it goes to a good home and continues to be a sound reason to prevent carbon emissions from being pumped in the atmosphere by manufacturers making more and more of these. But you absolutely loaded that gearbox with grease which isn't good. It doesn't need much, and too much will eventually seep in the electrics. Also make sure that super glue is compatible with the plastic housing. Super glue has to go on the joins and not around it because it dries very quickly upon being exposed to the air which will prevent it seeping in the join effectively. I like the vinyl wrap, but there has to be something akin to a rubber or urethane wrap that would be more akin to the original TPE overmoulding.

Restoration is an amazing job that allows to reduce the electronic discharges and prolongs the life of both mechanical and electronic products. Yes you are right i put a lot of grease ,and concerning the glue it's a product that I have been using for a long time it's very effective. It takes about 15min to dry which lets it get into the joints Thank you very much for your comment, triying to improve our work every day
