I'm still a noob but I picked up my first cordless, like the commenter below me I grabbed a Flex PXE 80. I love how lightweight it is, as a middle aged woman I appreciate lightweight yet powerful tools. My only other polisher is a Griots G9 which is also fairly lightweight compared to other polishers in it's class. Love your vids, especially anything about paint enhancing and correcting. ❤

Hi Phil, so just to confirm, you are using the FLEX batteries on this Batoca S2? This is the 18V correct? I see that the ones they bundle in the kit are rated for 12V - so in your opinion the 18V are okay with it?
@MirandaDetailing2 ай бұрын
Hi. So this video is older and at the time the Batoca polisher could use the Flex battery. But they since changed the design I noticed and I’m not sure anymore. I don’t have the new version to check. I can’t find the older version anywhere, I think they discontinued this model. Sorry.

Hi Phil, great job explaining Dr Beasley NSP. I guess my first question is have you stopped using other polishes for cars that you're going to prep for a ceramic? With that in mind, My second question is that if I use say a heavy cut do a stage two or stage 3 and then I use the NSP 45 on the final polish. Would that also work by giving me the ceramic connecting points on the surface? In other words, can I use up the 20 bottles of polish I have in this garage over the next year and have 2 years and then start using all the NSP products, the 150, the 95 and a 45. Or do I have to start using all three of the products now? Also, do you think it's worth just replacing that I have with the NSP and just using the 150 replace my heavy cut and the 95 for my medium and the 45 one finishing polishes. I'm pretty impressed with your video and what it does and how it works and if it's as fast as my current stuff and I don't have to use an IPA, that's a game changer for me. Because I'm doing the math. Math it's a very expensive product but if I literally can say do a 20" by 20" area with just two pea sized drops of NSP 150 vs 3 large drops 3D or Rupes coarse, then it should be cost effective. Please correct me on any errors of interpretation I have on what I saw on the video. Just to say I am very interested in this product and I never really connected with it before. I'm also amazed how few KZbin videos there are on the product. But I am definitely listening with both ears😅

After watching this video I went ahead and bought the Batoca : one of the worst shopping experiences ever, so a word of caution to all interested - these guys have a bad response rate leaving me days without replies, and this is after they sent me the wrong unit (a cheaper corded version instead of the cordless I ordered) - beware!! Still enjoy your vids very much, Phil, and love your 'no fuss' approach to the work done - thank you for making them!
@MirandaDetailing2 жыл бұрын
Hi. I'm so sorry that happened to you! Not sure why they would do that. I have only had one problem with them because they sent over the wrong charger, it was a UK version plug. But I just bought an adapter. I have heard some bad stories about SPTA service also, But usually they work it out. Must have been a bad employee on the week you ordered it. Sorry again for that experience with them.

Hi. Cool! You really shouldn’t have issues burning paint if you just be gentle and careful. Dual Action polishers are very safe anyway. Hi. Thanks. Yeah that little Batoca Cordless polisher was just for wax/sealant application. I don’t do typical reviews on tools and products. I usually just show how they work in my retailer videos. But it’s a great little application polisher. It can’t do anything more than apply waxes/sealants. I am also getting one from SPTA that is the same style and size but it comes with both 5&6 inch backing plates.

@@MirandaDetailing Thanks for the reply. Good to get the info from a genuine guy, I don’t really trust the Amazon reviews. So for a guy who takes a bit of pride in the appearance of his car, and of course the wife’s, only minor blemishes and swirling, do you think it would be sufficient to polish and wax it? Or would I be better off spending the money on a corded machine with more grunt? I’m in the uk if that makes a difference, we don’t always get the same brands.

Hey Phil, what percentage of your prep/enhancement/correction work is done with cordless polishers? Are you only grabbing a corded machine if you have a full correction job or are you still mostly using the cordless even with those? How often these days do you reach for a rotary?
@MirandaDetailing3 жыл бұрын
Hi. Well for the past year I have used the corded Polishers maybe 3 times! We primarily use the cordless now, it’s so convenient! I only have a small rotary for headlights sometimes and spot polishing, but that’s about it. But I will be getting a rotary and playing around with it more.
@timkinley17793 жыл бұрын
@@MirandaDetailing After sanding I'll use a rotary for the heavy lifting then finish with a RO. If I'm doing gelcoat, a pneumatic rotary is my go-to because of the angles on a boat. Glasswork (and patience) are much easier with a gear driven machine.
