Wow. That is by FAR the best review of an acoustic guitar I’ve heard yet. You put it through its paces in all registers, both harmonic and melodic lines, so we can hear how chords plus single-note runs sound all over the fretboard. Plus, I have to say, you seem to play so effortlessly, both hands so relaxed and controlled, and the music comes across as so spontaneous, as though any of us could do it if we tried. You are a true virtuoso. Thanks so much for giving me something to aspire to!

I bought this guitar at GC last night (birthday present from my wife). I spent 6 hours in the store deciding, went home very happy with the purchase. Today I found the pickup is dead, it doesn't play through any of my amps. Called store and asked for a brand new, off the truck replacement. They were very apologetic and I should have my new guitar this Friday! I found out the guitar I purchased was actually a return (previous owner had it 5 days). The pickup problem could be a manufacture defect OR carelessness from the previous owner (since the guitar had a 9V in it, and the defect wasn't relayed back to the store, I am assuming the previous owner may have inadvertently done something to it). Either way, I am looking forward to the new one. Until then, I get to play this one unplugged. It sounds great and I'm still happy with my decision. PS you play VERY well!!

your playing is soooo good, no matter how many times i watch your videos, still blows my mind. Are you just doing some improv in this video or playing some structures from classical/jazz songs?

I think I saw you about a year ago playing a big baby and a baby Taylor. Now it's a classical guitar. I am just learning. I haven't really made up my mind which guitar type I will playing for the most.

I'm confused about the sound(bass) quality between C5-CE SP Vs C5 CET. CE-SP is 30mm more depth than CET. So my concern is, how much sound(bass) will I have to consider while choosing between two?

After playing, is a cutaway harder to play than a non cutaway? What is the differences in playing experience?
@Minor7thb57 жыл бұрын
tothefront1 A cutaway is not very different to play than a non-cutaway. For me the sweet spot on the guitar is the middle range frets 5 to 9. 99% of my playing takes place in that region. An extended neck past the 12 fret is helpful to get a change in tonality but my approach to playing a cutaway is not different.

I find the Fishman electronics quite poor, the tuner is not very responsive and accurate, and it drains battery as mad. I have a CET version and my model (UK market) came roughly finished. All fret edges have had to be done as well as bridge/bone saddle. Big plus though it's C5's intonation and sound which is loud and punchy. I put it for sale, but not because it's not good. Good guitar after you do some work on it. Wouldn't buy another guitar with Fishman or electronics which needs a power supply. Bought simple DiMarzio pick up, way better then F. and doesn't need a battery.

how do you think this guitar sound? is it worth buying this guitar?
@Minor7thb56 жыл бұрын
Eric Febryan The guitar is very good and is reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend getting one. Used they can be had in good condition for 250 - 300.

hi! i have two Cordobas, both have very good intonation!! Im very particular with string tension, so theres a website Stringsbymail.com which gives one pretty exact tensions...,with Savarez and St Augustine I find the D&e strings have too much tension..., WONDROUS the marvellous thing with Cordobas is that they have truss rods..., WONDROS PLAYIN!..
