What a great podcast guys, especially the last 30 minutes. We have a massive intitlement mentality in South Africa. A few people are killing themselves through hard work to support the lazy fucks waiting for handouts. Now the goverment wants to expropriate our private property without compensation, to take everything I worked for and hand it out to lazy assholes who contributed nothing. I don't think video games are the addiction, but rather the rewards that dedication to a video game gives you. So much of society is coddling and participation trophies that when a kid plays a video game and has to actually work to be good and get that reward, they get addicted to that rewards system. You used to be able to get rewarded for participation in sports and other avenues but now Video games gives you that and people want that kind of rewards system; not to mention that Video games has become so pivotal for modern culture.
