Did Mirella Freni study with him too?
@MattiasMartin-mm3jw5 ай бұрын
No. They both went to Ettore Campogalliani for lessons. Together with Flaviano Labo,Margherita Benetti and others. Never with Arrigo Pola.

You may not be old enough to know that each of us is a product of our teachers and those who take a special interest in us. People gain knowledge in school, yes, but there are also special people who come into our lives and give us a special gift. Pavarotti knew that without the special education he received from Maestro Pola, he might never have developed that beautiful, warm, rounded, bel canto sound. Similarly, without the special help from Joan Sutherland, he might never have developed the strong diaphragm that made it possible for him to sustain his voice when he was singing those beautiful bel canto arias. Pavarotti always complimented Maestro Pola and said he thanked him every day for the training he received from him. He also never failed to recognize that Joan Sutherland helped him develop his breathing techniques and thanked her publicly for her help. God created Pavarotti. He also created Arrigo Pola and Joan Sutherland. Without their special gifts, Pavarotti might never have developed quite the voice that many say is the greatest tenor voice of the 20th century.
