I see how this was inspired by the Core-A Gaming editing style and all, but, it goes a bit off the way. I mean, I understand where the stock video thing is coming from, but it gets old WAY too fast. It is a nice tool to have from time to time, but I wouldn't rely a lot on it. That being said, I think everything should start somewhere and in someway, hope it grows from this :) Btw, if the editor is reading this, I personally would recommend the amazing channel 'Rhystic Studies' as an editing style to be... studied? It has some great, great editing with a somewhat similar pace from this. Good luck!

I'm a fan of shooters, platformers, run n guns, and so on. So at this point I have to choose one fighting game and settle or budget my other games towards other fighting games

IKR! I love mostly all the genres out there.. (even visual novels) I had to quit strategy games and barely play any mobas anymore (although I still find myself going back to them every now and then) loving FPS, 3rd person action, soul games, jrpgs, racing games, and to top it off multiple fighting games types!!!! tekken, SF, bb, gg, basically most fighting games out there I play them... add up 9h job time 5 days a week and I left out with almost no social life picking up between doing some games during weekends or going out. When I was a kid this was not a real issue as I have no job (duh) and was able to play pretty much every single game I wanted to now I wish I could get the lottery and quit my day job to go back to that LOL.

I'm practicing in Tekken 7, Guilty Gear, and sometimes UNIST, mainly. I practice specific things, like match ups, combos, local play, on specific days. With one day dedicated strictly to online. I only spend an hour max on my other games I enjoy like Warframe, Monster Hunter World, and The Division 2 because there's not much to do in endgame. So the rest of my time goes into my fighting game marathoning. The only additions I have is my job and occasional chats and hanging with my family and friends. But everyone has those things. Balancing is key.

I love Core-A Gaming but this video was really weird. I love it because of all the references to fighting games, the music, the players, the characters... and the writing was there. I'm a 30 year old dude who didn't play video games. After randomly coming across your videos, I got inspired to try fighting games out. Been playing SFV for about 3 or 4 weeks now. Learning my meat and potatoes. Had no idea fighting games were so deep. Made it to bronze recently by relying on my meat and potatoes approach. I love that I have so much more to learn. I resonate with a lot of the other comments in that it feels like a Buzzfeed video. Too much stock footage and the choice in music / pacing of writing feels like I’m being sold on an idea - rather than being informed. There are a ton of pauses during the voice over that make it artificial - unlike the conversational tone that Core-A usually has. I like the idea of new people coming into the channel, but hopefully the next episode will improve on all the pieces.

I've needed this lately, going back into fulltime work has been rewarding in some ways but the time spent out of work seems fleeting. There's lots of pressure to use my time properly and I have other busy friends & family that want whatever of our spare time they can get. I like the tip to find a way to combine it with something else. I realized in the last video that discussed Talon and how he played Geese to figure out how to beat Geese, I realized that my favorite part of fighting games was the variety of play styles, being able to learn a new character and see what moves work when and in what situations. I've had a bit of fun this week where I finally got to playing around with it, and playing random characters and restricting the moves from them I can use so I can understand what situation that move is used in has been great, I was able to get the satisfaction of a full afternoon of playing from 1 hour.

just caught this video, and I just want to say that I will hold this close to my heart. I feel like you made this for me hahaha. Im very much in a stage of my life (mid 30's) where Im focused on being a "responsible adult", which I feel I have done to some degree of success. Have a career, wife, outdoor activities, social circles (outside my local FGC). However no matter how much adulting I try to do, there's always this sense of excitement when I see a fighting game match. Somehow its good to see/hear some affirmation that its okay to not always have as much time for your local FGC coz "Life Happens", and that I shouldn't have to quit being a fighting game fan, just coz i dont get to play or be at the local events as much as I used to when I was younger. Yo this was a really good and insightful sort of video. These days it's so up and down for fgc time which can feel like a drag since I ran my locals for like a decade and played my whole life. However I'm married now, work two jobs in education and then some often seeing me busy 50 to 60 hours a week as well as everything else. Some weeks time clears up for several hours and I can get down to my favorite game Dengeki Bunko or some DBFZ or something others I struggle to make enough time for a decent session which I get bodied at times. It's easy to get disheartened and ask "Am I just too old for it now?" or something like that. I think I understood a lot of the content here but the organization and personal details of the creator were great and added perspective to my own experience. Great work guys.

I think it helps to show that a lot of us just don't have time as we assume more responsibilities/interests as an adult. That we all have a common liking and to pursue within our own communities wether the local or your reddit/forum/discord to keep those interests alive. It's all about time management, it's not a silver bullet, but it's true.

Not only did you give really good advice in this video. But you also played the full length of Nanase's Theme. You lot are cultured beyond words. To go further though. No one should be afraid to rely on netplay if you cannot find a local at first. Practice, regardless of where it comes from, is still practice after all. So get out there and get to Kishin rank or what have you. Secondly, do not be afraid to try and start your own local if their does not happen to be any by you. It's how most majors started out in the first place after all. And it's a great one to get out and meet new people. I wish you all the best of luck in your endeavors. :D
