Try to find a bodyworker in your area that offers out of the box treatment! For example, I offer cold light laser treatments. I can heal a bulging or herniated disc in one to two sessions. It has to go hand in hand with releasing all your muscles, around your entire core. But I have seen miracles happen on my table. And I have testimonials about it. If it takes a while to get into someone, that's a good sign. My FedEx and UPS drivers come in for treatments about once a year. It's not an all the time deal. You just need to find a Healer around you. And someone with a cold light laser. Not those red light therapy BS plates. Those are topical in what they treat. Like, eczema or psoriasis. I hope that helps!!! Make today Amazing!

I'm 67, I was diagnosed with spinal stenosis about 5 years ago, my stenosis affects my feet with a neuropathy burn and makes my feet extremely sensitive. After physical therapy I was in more pain and just decided to deal with it as best I could using ibuprofen as much as recommended but the pain and sensitivity still exists. I truly appreciate the video and your journey reversing spinal stenosis. I had a similar experience when I was 20, albeit in the context of the hip. A doctor told me that in 20 years I would need artificial hip joints because of congenital hip dysplasia that I didn't know about until then. Today I am 64 and still have no pain in my hip and currently have no need for surgery. I want to say and confirm that there is nothing against doctors, they are people like all of us and try to advise and or help within the scope of their knowledge, training and skills... beyond that, we are all individual and all cases may be individual, i.e. as said in the video, you shouldn't let such statements (which sometimes may not be right) take your life and hope away. Ultimately, you are always a complex individual and you are always well advised to try to research everything yourself, to learn for yourself, to try and find out what works and what doesn't... Fidget and move as long as you can... Of course you have to learn, find out and determine what works and what doesn't, what is possible or impossible, but please don't give up before your heart stops beating... The best friend you can have is always yourself, be good to yourself, don't give up on yourself... if you aren't there for yourself anymore and do something for yourself, you can't get it from others either expect... Good luck, courage and hope and get well soon to all the sick!

Had a similar experience, back seized in Aug 2020, zero back problems prior. I was in agony with little movement. Chiropractor almost crippled me!! Used KZbin videos to finally release my back, stop any pain. Went to see a neurosurgeon to assess an MRI and he told me I'd potentially end up wheelchair bound if I didn't have surgery. I was convinced the issue was completely fixed. He said discs CAN'T go back in. Stupidly I trusted his "expertise" and proceeded with the discectomy. Had 2yrs of no issues but now have frequent episodes of flair ups and back seizure. Last MRI (July) says I'm in the same situation as pre-surgery 💔 Back with neurosurgeon tomorrow for review. I'm looking for probability of permanent damage and I'll decide on course of action, hopefully physio 🙏

Sweetheart, you need to decompress the lumbar. And release your surrounding muscles. A bodyworker is your best bet! Someone who spends more time releasing your stomach, pelvic, and it band muscles!!! Then giving you stretches for decompression on your vertebrae. Chiros and Bodyworkers are not created equally. So be picky!!! I refer 4 Chiros in a 500 mile radius. It doesn't give my clients the best choices next to their homes. But they know I am picky AF and I won't let them go to just any Chiro. I hope that helps! Make today Amazing!!!

Thank you for posting this Dr. Ryan!I’ve been using your methods since January and you give me so much HOPE to improve my lumbar spine. My spine looked like yours at age 31 and I only had an X-ray because I had broken my right ankle and had a bit of lumbar pain. The pain wasn’t too bad but going to investigate it they saw DDD. Total White Coat Syndrome and I wish I hadn’t gone investigating. You are correct when you get told what can happen if you don’t get injections, MRI, X-rays, pain pills, nerve ablations. I’ve done it all and wish I had not. I feel very blessed to have found you and see that if you put in the work you’ll be ok you don’t have to go the route of orthodox medicine. The first time I heard a PT say “your spine is strong you just need to strengthen the muscles you won’t hurt your self” and the PT specialist wasn’t afraid to palpitate my lumbar. It gave me the freedom to do more and not be afraid of hurting myself and it’s when I found Dr. Ryan! Since then I’ve lost a good amount of weight and notice I can do more CBT especially the bridge! ❤

Spinal Stenosis is a narrowing of the spinal cord. This video is not talking about the spinal its talking about spaces in between discs its different! I hit my tailbone sideways. Doctors downplayed it saying it was not something they treat. Since then I've had back problems severely increasing, pelvis tilted, lower back setting out from time to time. I used to do a lot of running, jumping and lifting, now a I can do none of this, only move slowly. I can really feel that the tailbone dislocation is at the root of many of these problems as I can feel the stretch going down into that area, like it wants to be back in alignment. I don't know what to do, so I'm scouring the internet for any education on how to correct it.
@arhzee3310

When you’re young it can be corrected. I’m 64 and have had back and sciatic pain for about 20 years. I have had 6 epidurals, many chiropractic visits with only short term relief. I went to a specialist and he suggested a laminectomy without fusion, it’s a simple outpatient procedure. I have spoken with people who have had it done and were very happy with the results. I have watched too many to count KZbin videos on how to “fix” sciatic pain I feel it’s the way to go.

Maybe not correct it completely, but I do believe a good posture and simple things, like the right stretches and an appropriate exercise program, can make a big difference. I'm struggling with my senior mother on this topic. She gave in to hunching over to reduce her back pain over a decade ago, and I'm convinced that has just made things worse for her. Surgery should be a last resort.

I went to a chiropractor last week who also told me I would be in a wheelchair soon if I didn’t spend $4,000.00 with him to do spinal decompression. He told me I have severe compression of L-5 S-1 and won’t be able to walk if I don’t do the therapy he suggested. He then forcefully adjusted my hips, and as soon as I stood up I felt a massive spasm in the muscles on the outer hips. I limped out of his office and in terrible pain. A week later and my hips feel like there is a vice around them. They are very painful. My lat muscles in my back burn and only a heating pad and ibuprofen helps to ease the pain. I cannot afford $4,000.00, so I’m looking for information to help myself. Im glad I found your channel. Subscribed. 🙏🏻

Any Chiro with a plan is not going to fix you. Period! I will not refer Chiros that do that. You need to find a bodyworker that is skilled in fully releasing the muscles! Muscles pull bone out of alignment, not the other way around! So your journey should start there. Putting an excellent Chiro treatment in after the bodywork, only saves you money on both treatments. They last longer that way. You want someone strong with more certs than you could ask for! Not someone who has a job and does the state's minimum requirements. Texas only forces me to do 2 hours of education every 2 years. I take 4-6 hours of new classes per week! I love learning! That's the kind of bodyworker you want! Ask around. Word of mouth is how you find me in my community. I hope that helps you!!! Make today amazing!

I have exactly the same problem at L5-s1 level and I felt it 3 or 4 years ago. I am 43 years old and I have been practicing intense calisthenics for 8 years. I have a fairly robust lower back, abdominal and lateral frontal area due to intense static exercises. I have practically no more anterior pelvic tilt due to the strengthened musculature, but on several occasions I did not pay attention to the way of lifting a heavy weight in front of me with straight legs leaning forward and that was enough to destabilise this area again. It should be taken into account that several factors can destabilise/degrade all the joints of the body including that ones of the spine and the discs and if they combine, the injury is 100% assured; lifting a weight incorrectly, having incorrect posture linked to tense, insufficiently flexible, weak muscles, reduced immune defense following digestive problems and attacks by viruses and bacteria which are located in the joints.

By age 28 I had a severe disc bulge, L5-S1. Chiropractor didn't have the x-rays yet but proceeded with that sacral adjustment. I learned about pain that day. 💯 and also what endorphins can do! - long story short-i have spinal lardosis as well, had many issues with the L4-5 and L5-S1 as well as multiple bulges all thru the L's. Stenosis at many moments. Physiotherapy is what saved me! CORE work and implementation of proper posture during movements!. Couldn't agree.more! I'm 51 now, still deal with flare ups, triggered by less and less but it happens cuz I get lazy and stop with the core work. It's so important. My physio Don was special. He also administered acupuncture and message as well. He gave love and knowledge in every treatment. I saw him on and off for 13 years.

My left ear turns red (unilateral red ear syndrome) from spinal stenosis, my right back and right arm go numb, and my left thigh/leg and sometimes my foot goes numb. I notice everything gets worse when I do high impact movements like jumping down off a truck bed. My last MRI was about 3 years ago, but things have gotten a lot worse lately. I was fine for two years woke up one day out of the Barely could legs. Unfortunately, that surgery failed. Four years later. The pain grew is excruciating only to discover the fusions had failed and had to have it done all over again. I really wish Physical Therapy would’ve been my point. The short answer is that I improved my posture by developing a healthy core connection and muscular balance in my body. I wish it were as simple as just doing an exercise that healed me, which I would happily share, but if that were the case it would be easy, and a lot less people would be in back pain. The exact process involves tons of education, the development of increased body awareness, lifestyle changes, and last but not least - a progressive exercise program to reactivate and restore balance in the core muscles. While it's not possible to put all this into one video, there are tons of resources sharing this information on our KZbin channel, and we have a comprehensive 3 month program available to everyone that guides you through this process as well.

Blk rose, your statement that " no one cares" is in my view a statement that seems to suggest that if millions cared about your condition it would change things for you. The truth is that in today's society I feel that many people feel that they cannot help themselves with life's challenges. They seem to look to the govt or other organizations to help them. We choose how much sugar we eat,how much alcohol we drink what we smoke even though we shouldn't smoke anything at all. What we eat and how much. How much we excercise and much more. We assign the responsibility of making us happy to others when only ourselves can do that. I feel that you may not appreciate what I am sharing but it's the raw truth. If you neglect this your situation will not improve. If you become a seeker of knowledge and day by day apply what you have learned a bit at a time you definitely will change your life. Hopefully you will consider this. Good luck

So if I have L5 fused to my sacrum, from they say congenital, I have scoliosis, labrum tear in hip, can a chiropractor be hurting me, instead of helping me? I feel like my last adjustment messed me up instead of help me. That’s what I’m hearing from you.

I have the same disc bulg for years but the pain only manifested when I pulled a muscle. It's been more than a year of doctors and working out and it hasn't improved BUT this video gives me hope. Ive been experiencing pain daily and was in fear that my condition had progressed so I got a new MRI - thankfully it hasn't. This video gives me hope and that's the most important thing. There are so many resources out there but seeing someone show actual results, not just because of 1 workout but many changes, makes it easier to push myself. Thank you for sharing your journey!

Dr Ryan has made videos that are examples of his perfect bridge. Look up Core Balance Training perfect bridge. Do just that exercise three times a day, focusing on expanding your belly and making your abs the leader of the movement. Do those three times a day. Laying on your back in your back anchor, you can pick one foot off the ground at a time and march. Get comfortable with ab dominant marching, the front of your hips should be fully relaxed. Then you can experiment with having your feet land further and further away from you. The bridge is his golden goose because it really does stretch so much of what becomes tight and strengthens that which is weak all at the same time. I have severe back problems and after a year and a half of conventional therapy and exercise his program saved me from surely not being able to move in q couple years. His program is only 100$ a month btw

I think I’m spotting an issue in my SI joint early, and glad I did. Going to get my GP to reffer me to a physical therapist who can look at me and hopefully identify or at least rule out other causes of my weird pain. I’m NOT going to a kiropractor. Don’t trust them at all. It’s widely regarded as a psuedo-science, or at least a very limited philosophy that reduces all ailmemts to «bones needing to be popped and losened» when the problem could already be that your joint is TOO LOSE.

I have watched quite a few of your videos and am intrigued by a lot of what your program seems to offer. I have noticed that you seem to focus heavily on anterior pelvic tilt however, and my situation is basically the exact opposite. My pelvis is tucked under and I've got a mild kyphosis in my lumbar spine. I don't suffer from pain, but have a host of other symptoms that I have attributed to it, and can alleviate by working on it, but am looking for a more permanent solution and lasting change. Do you believe your program would be able to help me at all? I'm worried with a focus on balancing anterior pelvic tilt it may just reinforce my existing issues. Thanks for any insight,

there are no muscles in your L5 that can pull it straight backwards that's true of almost every vertibrae in your spine except for the ones in your neck. so anything that pushes that forward will make you worse. that should give you an idea which direction it needs to move in order to get better. but there is more things putting pressure on that stenosis than just the local misaligment. the whole thing it putting pressure on it. the less active you are it can heal, you injured yourself somehow to cause the stenosis. a lot of things can aggravate it. dong something in the gym or running to much can make it worse. your unstable in your entire spine actually.

Without an mri of the lumbar spine you cannot definitively diagnose spinal stenosis. You can manipulate your posture with X-ray positioning and disc space / ANTALGIC leaning will change from day to day , week to week. True “spinal stenosis” some IVF some central canal cannot be “fixed” or “reversed” without surgical intervention. Of course , it can be managed by competent professionals . Sorry your original chiropractor was such a bad experience. Makes me mad /sad . I am happy you are much better .
@firedrake-82
@firedrake-82 3 ай бұрын
What your talking about is not spinal stenosis, It's called sacral displacement. You can't see stenosis on radiographic imagery, mri is best. I can only assume you found a decent chiropractor to adjust your back? Although posture is a big factor, there's no way you adjusted your own mess through posture only.

If anyone wonders, i have plenty of experience with back issues. About to have my 3rd surgery and 2nd fusion. Plenty of spinal stenosis, arthritis, protruding disc's, and retrolisthesis. Not to mention degenerative disc disease also, all at 42. Been dealing with these problems for 15 yrs and there's been nothing that's helped more than surgeries. I've also been in a more advanced condition too. Just my luck

impact injury police and dps handcuffed me lifted me under shoulder blades moved me and dropped me on cement where I could not break my fall my tailbone and left hip did…… This sure sounds like what ive got 2 xrays which I dont have were taken in Jail one they said oh its arthritus in both hips… but I did not see images this way sideways per say so tailbone l5 s1 feels bone on bone..and that SHIFTING feeling this spooks me….i takinghyaluronic acid and chondroitin sulfate.. to help but weak and posture problems cant stand or pick heavy items up carrying trash bags with clothes or heavy stuff really wrecks me where I cant hardly move numb in both feet. Low back just jello… im 63 years old and no insurance or much money to get MRI but even XRAY would show that angle you speak of or buldging disc. I was told l5 s1 and sciatic nerve… but this feels like its broken just below iliac crest on left side shifts and hurts there and then down to tail bone or feels like im shot with arrow through both hips … very painful pins and needles pains.. I was considering chiro or ring dinger decompression and now I wont be doing that. I want MRI OR XRAY first thing… and side view of tail bone and hips….. MRI is honestly what I need. what is so pathetic to me is if you go in crawling or being held up with no money they wont just treat you anyway or image you and bill you. That is beyond words for me.. No matter what its just an image or some xrays and maybe cortisone shot or maybe hell no to that also I dont know….. But im asking..

Trust me, I’m a Neuro radiologist. Your films are unchanged. The lateral views are not cone down with a perfectly vertical beam. They are angled. Your use of jargon is admirable, but a little inaccurate. The “instability“ of your spine is not from the disk it’s from the facet failure, which results and disk failure, the amount of listhesis that you claim is present is indeed on the film, but it’s unchanged. Guess what? There’s also a little listhesis at El Ford L5. You never describe nerve pain or weakness. People who have axle pain do not have an indication for imaging, unless there is a suspicion of something else such as a fracture, metastatic disease, ankylosing, spondylitis, some rheumatoid, or, some rheumatoid or Some other known inflammatory condition. overtime and people who have only axial pain without ridiculous symptoms, especially if they are young and healthy like you. They eventually get better in time. There’s no way you can prove that anything you did fix it.
@devdroid9606
@devdroid9606 Ай бұрын
All of your x-rays are pretty much normal, and there's no evidence of listhesis. Your MRI view doesn't show a pathology, as some small bulging is normal. The spaces between the vertebra are not necessarily indicative of a problem, if you don't have pain. Many people can be bone on bone and be asymptomatic.

The quality of Chiros has significantly decreased, but I also think you can say that accurately about doctors and healthcare in general. The root cause for many patients is not addressed. One of the first things doctors should suggest to I would say 60% of their patients' is increase your activity and exercise not try this pill. X-rays really arent a sufficient diagnostic tool for many people with back pain/discomfort either. Several failed attempts of adjusting. Sounds like they made it worse imo.

The x rays do not show where the issue is. The fact L5 touches S1 on one of the x rays says nothing. Remeber not all x ray are taken from the same angle. Bcs the angle will detemine the parts of the bones situation. Soianl stenosis is diagnosed via MRI, period. The chiropracter has no isea what he was talking to his patient. Way off the real matter. My advice- go see Neurologist, get youeslef a MRI and wait for the reading by MD RADIOLOGIST. And please- do not go to chiropractors to hear popping you joints- this is an absolute scam since has nothing to do with curing/treating you issues. Popping is for you, for cameras for audience fireworks.
