This is such a great looking game engine, it seems so easily accessible and really simplistic while still giving creators the opportunity to create complicated games and i love it for that. I really enjoy the multiple premade games that you can load up and quickly edit, i am currently working on a mediveal themed fighting game and core has really helped speed up that process and has made making games much more enjoyable for beginner developers and i hope the engine gets many more updates in the foreseeable future.

I was hyped that I found new free program to make games, but when I read it's licence... You guys should read it's license, before you start using it, because even if you make really nice game, those devs disallow you to publish your game in other places except their. That's why ALWAYS read license of any program, before use.
@LVP2014 жыл бұрын
Could you point me towards which section of the license covers that?
@voltcorp4 жыл бұрын
to be fair how could you even start to publish anywhere else? all networking and models are within core. it's not a game engine really, it's a sandbox game. it's much closer to something like old GMod for HL2.
@specopsbarton4 жыл бұрын
@@voltcorp "to be fair how could you even start to publish anywhere else?" typical for people who don't understand so simple thing - as a developer I see clearly what core is trying to achieve, FULL CONTROL of everything. Imagine you worked few years in core, you made something really good but devs didn't liked it and they just pressed DELETE...so all your hard work is gone. I also should mention that even if you will have something yours, it will be actually not yours because everything belongs to them, so you don't even have a chance to defend your work from being deleted actually :) Oh and another reason is if everything is stored in core servers, if there will be no core servers because for example they will bankrupt, your work will disappear with them :) I making games myself so I know what Im saying, because everything is safe on my pc and no one except me have access to my source code :) This was the long version, the short simple is core is too much restricted to be worth using.

@CoreGamesOfficial3 жыл бұрын
You will have to drag the material onto each of the material slots (intended so people don't accidentally overwrite all the slots). However, if you create a custom material and assign it to each material slot, you'll only need to update the custom material to change each slot. Does that make sense? If changing each material on an object at once is something you'd like to see as a feature, you can request it here: support.coregames.com/hc/en-us/requests/new :)

Really nice, but is it possible to load these "Core game frameworks" with an empty map? It don't want to erase all those walls and also have a bigger map for what I'm planning.
@CoreGamesOfficial3 жыл бұрын
You can just delete the map folder.
