My 1st time watching Corey shoot 14.1 and he was EXCELLENT. Perhaps there's not enough money or incentive, but any of these top pros could dedicate themselves for a few months and possibly reach 1,000 someday. With some timeouts, my estimation is that this could be accomplished in 9-10 hours (maybe $1 mil prize?). It is said that Mosconi reached around 800 at his home, and Mike Euphemia sank 625, although Mosconi quit his public record of 524 because he said he just got tired and never missed.

Great video and excellent commentary David. Learned a lot from watching. A lot better commentary than some of the major events you see...

'bill bixby', remember that these tables today have way tighter pocket sizes and cuts than the Brunswick which Mosconi ran those racks out on which had 5 1/4 inch corner pockets, 5 1/2 inch side pockets. I've never even seen any table today with pocket cuts that generous. Doing even 150 balls on a Diamond tournament table of today with 4 1/4 pockets is a whole different world.

But at the same time Mosconi played on a table that was 4x8

Ed Kell Right, but his bio says he has run 300+ on the merciless 5 x10 tournament tables If I'm not mistaken, I hate to hear people always trying to diminish what the great Mosconi has done.

My highest run is 23 and it had to do a lot with luck. The days I get 30, 50 and 100 will be happy days ... but it will take quite some time to get there. :S

More important than the number of the high run in straight pool elias,is how well was the run coordinated, For the most part only the player can know his intention vs the outcome shot by shot, and how he had to correct an error (know matter how suttle)How many ball"s in a pattern that were planned in advance is the basis for the player to judge his play. That"s what straight pool is about,Then there is the competition to the play/and a little luck there is alway"s welcome .Not to confuse the 2

Good quality video. Thanks for sharing. A suggestion for future videos would be to pan the commentary to the left or right and more importantly, the audio from table play should be centered. It feels quite unnatural and sorry to say... irritating to hear the sound from something you are viewing straight ahead coming from the left or right

magnificent run, he was lucky on the 84-85 break shot, he almost bought the farm

Fantastic play. A lot to learn from watching this... I really do think, on ball 149, that he intended to hit the 13, but missed it by a mile--it's really the only thing that explains where the cueball went--there was nothing. Good commentary, too. 14.1 isn't always easy to make commentary on...

That's a good run considering he doesn't always make the best shot choices. He got lucky he didn't scratch more than once and he is such a strong shot maker that he gets himself out of trouble. I turned the sound off because I would rather not hear commentary on every shot. It starts to sound like special ed after a while.
