That nostalgic, melancholic sound of the synthesizers, the sound of guitars that recedes and expands like crystalline echoes, the voices floating like the wind, the gray and metallic colors of the videos, in short, the productions of the eighties and that feeling from a time without age, a time without time, a time from another dimension, the eighties, were insurmountable. I lived them fully and there will be no other era like this, but they have remained in my heart and in my mind forever ...

80’s best era. When this really hit. Punk rock, ska, rockabilly, stoners, break dancing, pop locking, rap, mods, new wave, speed metal, preppies, valley girls, cha cha girls, Volkswagen and Nissan truck/car clubs mopeds, funk, techno, dance music (as it was called) Arcades, cable TV, extreme fashion, Madonna and Michael Jackson were huge fashion influences. So much more. The greatest decade, it’s no wonder you have a lot of 80’s clubs you don’t hear of any other era that you can go to a club and just hear 80’s music. I work with a lot of young bucks in their early 20’s and they say they’d wish they grew up in that era and love the music, 90’s as well. They talk about how bad today’s music is, which I totally agree. I love feeding them music from the 60’s, 70’s and especially the 80’s and 90’s. They love it.

Only 13 years old (ALMOST 14. THAT MATTERS). I love 80s music. You name it. Corey Hart, Billy Idol, Madonna, Dead or Alive, Modern Talking. I'm so obsessed. My room is filled with posters of old movies like The Outsiders and The Karate Kid. I love the vibes that the 80s movies and music gives off. Nowadays, it's like being a detective trying to figure out the meaning of a movie.. or its a bunch of emotionless and not genuine characters (mostly tiktok celebrities im talking about). It's either less dramatic and stupid, or overly dramatic and stupid. The music then was amazing. Now it's just shit I had to say it. I dunno why it's crap to me but it is. I'm writing a book based in the 80s and GOD i just wanna live in it. Not am I just an author, but I LOVE acting. My parents told me they didn't give a damn, so since 11 years old, I've been practicing based off of my favourite movies. I've tried different methods for acting. I can now act drunk, act like I got shot, cry on command, lots more. I'm so in love with the old movies to a crazy extent to the point where I want there to be action movies WITH 80S TECHNOLOGY THAT I CAN TAKE PART IN. Not just filters, I want the whole vibe. Make the neighbourhood you film in that way, too. I don't care just make me feel like I live in the 80s. I would kill for that. I just wanna act in a film with action. Something I could look back at and get the rush of feeling that I get for the movies in the 80s. If my book ever gets published and gets some recognition, I would love to see a movie adaptation. BUT I WOULD HATE if they just tint and filter the videos. I want the way that product placement was used in the 80s, I want people to be EXPRESSIVE like crazy. I want it to be genuine. Man I was born in the wrong place. Bring me into the 80s and I can throw away my phone and computer in front of your face. I don't give a damn.

This was filmed at the old Don Jail in Toronto. The same location was used in the movie Cocktail w/Tom Cruise... It was the bar.

Do you know who played the female head-security guard -- the one who releases the singer from jail?
@deepblue19637 жыл бұрын
Yes, her name is Laurie Brown. She was a VJ for MuchMusic.

Corey Hart looks just like a cool mixture of Harrison Ford and David Ducovney (spelling?).

Corey's early work was a little too new wave for my taste. But when "First Offense" came out in '83, I think he really came into his own, commercially and artistically. The whole album has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost. He's been compared to Hall & Oates, but I think Corey has a far more sly, earnest sense of humor. In '85, Corey released "Boy in the Box", his most accomplished album. I think his undisputed masterpiece is "Never Surrender". A song so catchy, most people probably don't listen to the lyrics. But they should, because it's not just about the ethic of never quitting on yourself or your dreams no matter how challenging or daunting, it's also a personal statement about the man himself.

You know, I never expected to see an American Psycho reference in the comments section of a Corey Hart music video on KZbin, but now that this day has come, my life is complete and my remaining time here on earth can be spent wheezing to death over this comment. 💀💀💀💀💀💀
