Corey's elk encounter was the COOLEST EVER!! Two cows sauntering by just looking at you guys as you were playing like statues. The scenery was spectacular. It really looked like a movie scene. The only thing that would have made this completely over the top would have been if that twig was about an inch shorter. Great job Corey and glad all you guys got to experience it in real life! Thank you Corey and Donnie for sharing your hunts with us on KZbin. I’m sure I’m not the only who lives through the hunt with you since I’m not physically able to. I last hunted elk in Montana 8 years ago and was blessed with a nice 5x5. Around that time I contracted several tickborne illnesses while in my home state of Pennsylvania which wrecked me physically. I never imagined at age 39 I’d be unable to hunt elk, but every time you upload another video I get to hunt right with you as if I’m the camera man. I appreciate you being real with us and showing us the good and the bad. It shows your integrity and honesty. I share your frustration with losing an opportunity on a good animal from an arrow deflection. I’ve had 2 instances, one I harvested the animal, the other I did not. Keep up the good work guys!

I learned first hand while in the Army how important it is to take care of your feet. Clean and dry socks plus mull skin go a long way. After being out for a few years I still make sure I take care of my feet while hunting in the woods. Can’t hunt or fill that freezer if your feet are all jacked up. Thanks again for another awesome video.

The series has been incredibly good so far. For those after nothing but kill shots, this sucks. But... its super valuable to see the day to day; the challenges, struggles, and failures; the problems and fuck ups and unpredictable context that is an elk hunt. This is real hunting. Nothing polished, nothing bought, and nothing taken for granted. Thank you.

Hunt Washington I started using Crispis’s this past year. Always wore scarpa’s. Got tired of blisters. Last year I had seven blisters from the Scarpa’s. This year I saved up and got my crispis’s. Did not have a single blister or hot spot. Hiked more and with more weight on my back than last year. I did also upgrade from Darn Tuff to Gore socks. I think that helped some too.
