danial miller True, but some metal vocalists who have done it as long or even longer can still scream and/or growl as good or even better than the beginning of their singing career's. Like Max Cavalera, or Devin Townsend. Maybe Corey's style is more damaging to his throat than those others.

Jason Taylor Nope. It's nowhere close to his old screams. Corey started losing his screams in 2003 and by March of 2004 he'd completely lost his ability to scream. He got the vocals up quite a bit during the AHIG era 2008-2009 and they've stayed in that range since. The Main reason why he lost his screams is that he got sober, he's even said so himself.

@Killaklown This was in 2000 it was for the Strait up tribute album dedicated to late Snot frontman Lynn Strait. If you haven't heard it you should check it out. There are a bunch of vocalist from different metal and rock bands, at the time, who contributed to the album.

That actually is an SM7B. I own one. And many metal bands of varies levels of stature use them, because the have amazing quality and be handled more like a live mic. (General message to all doubtful posters) It's him alright. As other posters have stated - in 99-00's he covered his identity as Slipknot was just making headlines and nobody knew who they were (as in, facially). You forget - this was RECORDED. With a camera. I guess I could see why some people would think it's fake since you can't see his face or any of his skin for that matter. Don't get me wrong, I know this is Corey, no one has a voice like his. And going by the style of his scream in this video, I'm pretty sure it was recorded during Iowa, which was when the members were still trying to be low-key about their identities, which would explain why they're so covered up.
